Kitchen and Spice is a hidden gem in Nutter Fort — one of those places you might drive right past if you’re not paying attention. I heard about this spot through word of mouth and decided to check it out. I’m glad I did!

🪑 Atmosphere – 5/5

Small and cozy, but laid out well with a decent number of tables for the size of the place. The space is immaculately clean, with a modern yet welcoming vibe. There’s a walk-up counter to order, and a cold case stocked with drinks, side items, and desserts. The back seating area is quaint and nicely decorated, giving it a homey feel — perfect for a quiet bite. (Photos attached help show off the setup.)

🤝 Service – 5/5

Although it’s counter service, the gentleman working the counter was extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. When your food is ready, they call your name to pick it up, and you’re responsible for clearing your own table. It’s efficient and relaxed — perfect for a quick, high-quality meal.

🍔 Food – 5/5

This is the real star of the show. The menu isn’t huge, but everything we tried was top-notch. I ordered the spicy sausage hoagie and it was honestly the best sausage hoagie I’ve ever had — loaded with hot peppers and gooey mozzarella, toasted to perfection. It came with a side of crispy shoestring fries.

We also tried:
• The spicy chicken sandwich – unbelievably large and flavorful.
• A classic cheeseburger – reported to be excellent.
• The Spitfire Burger (a daily special) – another winner.

They’re known for their burgers, and it’s easy to see why.

This is a local startup worth supporting, and I’ll absolutely be back. Highly recommended.

The food was fantastic, and the two employees were incredibly kind and professional. The restaurant was very clean and well put together. Prices were also pretty cheap - similar to fast food these days. They deserve the reputation they have for their excellent burgers, and I hope to return soon.

We ordered the chopped sausage hoagie and an ultimate mushroom Swiss burger. Both meals were absolutely delicious! Will definitely be going back. The gentleman at the register (Jason) took the time to tell us the specials and was generally a very pleasant person to interact with.

This place is a gem! The burgers, sandwiches, fries, and even all the stuff in the cooler are delicious. Add in the good prices and the friendly people and it’s worth coming back!

I'd be lying if I said I haven't been waiting months for this restaurant to open up. If you knew them from their Hoagies before the restaurant like I did, then you would understand. That is why I am not surprised at the least of how amazing the rest of their menu is. It is a very spacious diner with adequate eating area that is meticulously hygienic. Me and my family will continue to enjoy these affordablely filling meals at this local roots establishment. Don't worry, they have to go boxes for what you can't finish and it's even delicious cold if you can't reheat it fries and all.
