Enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with a delicious brunch. Hadn't been to the Hotel for some time.. I really enjoyed the day.

Waited over 1 hour for appetizer service was horrible. Ended up canceling our order. Several customers around us waited over 3 hours to get food served. No apology or compensation off bill offered.

Beautiful hotel that's recently been renovated but our restaurant experience was a nightmare. Twenty minutes after we were seated, we finally convinced a server to take care of us. Two others blew us off. After ordering, it took 40 minutes for our appetizer to arrive, and another 30 for dinner to arrive. Then my ahi tuna was cooked well done. Not our server's fault and when the manager stopped by, she said they'd been slammed with orders due to their outdoor event but now we had our food so she hoped we would enjoy it. This was a special occasion and we'd made reservations more than a month in advance. Other tables got tired of waiting and paid for their drinks (which should have been comped but weren't) and they left angrily. Worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant.

I would have given 5 stars. The dinner was outstanding with great service but the breakfast on 6/25 was poor. I was the first one in the restaurant for Breakfast and had to wait 20 minutes to get omelette and hash brown casserole. Only two other people were in the restaurant after me. Everything including the coffee was like warm at best. Hashbrown casserole looked like it was left over from the day before (inedible).

I had Prime Rib and my wife had Salmon. Our server was excellent and the food was precisely cooked to meet our request. I thought it was superb dining.

We went the Saturday before Mother's Day. There were only 5 tables occupied including us. First, it took forever to seat us. We barely saw our server. We had to ask for refills. She was very inattentive. And the food was mediocre at best. One person asked for no cheese on her food (which wasn't even listed in the description but she asked just in case). The server brought it out and verbatim said “they went ahead and put cheese on it but if you wand, I can have them remake it.” Um 100% yes. She asked for no cheese because she cannot eat it. Why would they think it was ok to send it out with cheese? Then she was questioned on why she didn't want it. Overall, I would not come back. We were just in town and thought it would be really neat experience.

We had a phenomenal dinner here for our anniversary. Our waiter, Alex, was exceptional, the food was great, and the dining room (and live piano player) were great. Always a treat. They made our dinner so special and we loved it!

The sea bass and salmon meals were both very delightful, full of flavor, beautifully presented, and served gracefully. Scott is always superlative and is a model for professional, formal dining. His ability to suggest, execute, and deliver is truly remarkable and always appreciated. Excellent experience.

A group of my friends and I went to brunch for “bridesmaid proposals”. The staff were so sweet and kind in supporting that special moment! 10/10 would recommend for a special occasion!

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE--Highly recommend. The server, Alex, was absolutely fantastic and exemplified the perfect balance of knowledge, attentiveness, professionalism, and communication. He could anticipate the needs but maintained a discreet and efficient presence. He was professionally open and honest about menu items and offered great options. The bar tender created outstanding cocktails to compliment each component of the meal. Alex suggested excellent wines as well. Before finalizing the entre choice, Scott graciously and professionally displayed the featured dishes to us. Another gentleman was attentive to water refills as well as clearing the tableware as needed. "Crumbing the table" proved Alex's level of professionalism and commitment to maintaining traditional, formal service. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming making it the most pleasant experience--even packaging and holding the dessert for later retrieval.

Outstanding dinner experience. Chef Dan is amazing and came to our table to check on us. Alex our server was amazing and a real pleasure, first class service. We met the owners and they were awesome. The live piano was beautiful and icing on the cake. We highly recommend dinner at this historic property.

Chef Dan Sheppard is a breath of fresh air! The choices , the flavors and the portions were spot on! Looking forward to going back! Especially appreciate the interaction during the meal with the Chef. His passion for what he is doing is palpable! Well done!

They are trying. For several years the food was just not good. New chef has made good improvements. Food is better now than it has been in a long time. We will go back again.

Probably the best restaurant in Parkersburg. Not cheap, but elegant dining in an elegant venue. Reservations are not required but highly recommended. Come for the live piano music on weekend evenings. I've been coming to Parkersburg on business for several years— the Blennerhassett is an old-world experience not to be missed and the dining room is the best.

Decided to stop in for the first time with some friends and I was NOT disappointed. Wonderful atmosphere, food was amazing, Felicia was phenomenal behind the bar and the drinks she made were top notch. Recommended it to several friends and we’ll be back! 💜
