The last time we were here, the brunch was tremendous. Loads of offerings and all good. This time, we had a disappointment. The assortment of foods was limited. What was there was okay, but that's as far as it went. While a small notice informed that eggs and omelets could be made to order, no one was there to make them. The service was provided by a pleasant-enough person, but it was the server's first day ("I'm new.") on the job, so service was subpar. The venue itself is handsome; no doubt about it. But you can't eat venue. For $30/person, not including libations, we didn't get much good.

Don’t go for the buffet! We had the Sunday brunch buffet. My only positives: hotel is beautiful and the cheesy potatoes were good. However… Hostess ignored us while waiting to be seated. Waiter was mostly absent. Buffet hot food was empty the first trip. Hunted down plates ourselves and went up for a 2nd try. Most things were still empty. Waiter still mostly absent. No syrup for your waffle, no salt or pepper, frozen store bought desserts. Bill was $133 for 4 people. Robbery. Do not waste your time or money.

Very enjoyable outdoor dining area. Great music in the garden, too. Menu was good and the service was great.

Went for birthday dinner! We can't say enough great things about the Blennerhassett Restaurant. From hostess Ella to our server Andy, the service exceeded our expectations. We started with cocktails and a salad (Wilted Spinach Salad With Hot Bacon Dressing), then main course and dessert. Would highly recommend the Pan-Seared Sea Bass which was crispy on the outside and meaty on the inside. Delish with the olive tapenade. The porterhouse special was cooked to perfection. Splurged with dessert (Pecan Praline Tulip) and it was worth it. Would highly recommend for any special occasion.

This place is spot on for brunch. We took my sister in law there when she was in town the prices were somewhat expensive for what we got.

The food here was outstanding. I had the pork chop wrapped in applewood bacon with a maple syrup glaze. It was so juicy and tender. The asparagus was cooked just right, and the risotto was nice and creamy.. my husband had the Chilean Seabass, which was also very good. We also tried the appetizer of applewood bacon wrapped dates which we enjoyed and we shared a dessert there specialty called the tulip.. it is made up of a praline shell filled with butter, pecan ice cream and whip cream and caramel sauce Dinner for two with drinks, appetizer, and one dessert shared with the tip was $155 . Three. It was a good value for the high quality that we encountered

My husband’s $55 New York strip was wonderful. My spaghetti carbonara had plenty of pork bits, but the coating of egg wash was not very tasty. I couldn’t see any grated romano that it was supposed to be finished off with. I’ve had- and made- far and away better than that. The biggest disappointment was the creamed jalapeño spinach, on the menu as a vegetable accompaniment. It was actually a boat of real liquidy cream with little flakes of spinach in it. tasted like a very diluted Alfredo. I called the server’s attention to it, stirred it to show her and said “I wanted a vegetable dish” but she didn’t answer, just shrugged. She was a very good server other than that. Attached is the photo of the said boat of milk that I paid 8 dollars for. and couldn’t eat.

You can't go wrong with the Blennerhassett when your visiting Parkersburg WV. The Blennerhassett has everything you would expect from a boutique full service hotel! When you arrive there is a valet and a bell man waiting to greet you and start your experience off right, from there you enter a beautifully decorated hotel that usually always has something themed or seasonal taking place. This time of year it is the symphony of trees, the whole first floor is filled with beautifully decorated trees from local groups and business's raising money for the United Way. The front desk will fulfill any request you need from spa treatments to reservations for dinner in the hotels amazing restaurant or just grab a drink from the bar. If your staying on a weekend you might see a grand wedding taking place which I personally always find a treat. There is no other place I would stay or recommend staying in Parkersburg WV!

Exceptional service by Ashley and exceptional food by chef Adrian. I felt the price was worth the wonderful quality of the food and the great service. Lots of great flavors which is so different from chain restaurants. Highly recommend

My husband and I have been coming to the Blennerhassett for many many years. Each time we come back we are longing for the beautiful hotel that it once was. When you first walk in the chairs in the lobby look like they could use to be replaced, bad! The aroma of dogs then fills your nostrils. The hotel used to be impeccably clean and pristine. The lounge that used to be so classy with wonderful art on the walls now has been replaced with prints of dogs! The carpet throughout the whole hotel looks like animals have had accidents everywhere. Yuck! The valet, Mike who has been at the hotel for a while is always wonderful! Also, the lady who runs the coffee shop is amazing and makes great coffee! So sad to say that "The place has gone to the dogs"!

We had an amazing experience at the historic hotel this weekend! We were warmly greeted, the service was excellent! Caroline and Adrienne both took great care of us! The food was delicious and we really enjoyed the outdoor entertainment. All the staff we interacted with were friendly, personable, and helpful. This was a return visit for me, my mother, and sister and we are already looking forward to our next visit and spa experience!

We did not have any food at the lounge, however we did have drinks. Our drinks on Friday night was excellent. We had a bartender on Friday and she was awesome. She made great drinks and was very nice. On our second night of our stay our drinks where disappointing due to not being made correctly. We did not have the same bartender it was a newer girl and the drinks where made incorrectly. The trainer told her how to make it without the ingredients that where listed.

Last minute switch up.....heading to a family reunion and decided to cancel my hotel reservation in New Martinsville and booked the Blennerhassett in Parkersburg. Let me say...just wow...from the moment we pulled up, top notch service all around. We were greeted by Jimmy & Mike handling valet and luggage. Mike ushered us to check in and made sure we were promptly assisted. After we checked in we waited outside where they both proceeded to give us a history lesson if the hotel and nearby attractions. We got suggestions for dinner/breakfast all while unloading the car! Mike took our vehicle and Jimmy escorted us to our room. Such a great experience before we even had a chance to get into our room. After unwinding we decided to stick with our hotel restaurant reservations and I am so glad we did. We sat outside, which at first I was apprehensive about after a 9hr car ride! It was glorious, there was a live band, fans blowing, the most beautiful landscape and to top it all off theeee greatest server named Adrienne. She knew the drink and food menu top to bottom. She gave great suggestions for drinks and had the most pleasant, upbeat, sincere personality. She was such a fun server, had us laughing every time she came to the table. Her service at dinner was absolutely the cherry in top of this very hastily changed reservation. Food was delicious and we devoured every bite, even took dessert with us to our room. I kept saying to my boyfriend, " I'm so happy I booked this hotel". You won't regret this hotel, everything about it was stellar!

Have stayed twice at this historic boutique hotel for the location and the service. This is a cool place. The rooms are of varying sizes. Amenities include robes, umbrella, extra towels, Wi-Fi, and coffee/tea in room. There's are sitting lounges around the building to relax, read or wait. Pictures of the building from long ago are on the second floor. JFK stayed here and his suite is available. We came here last fall for a class reunion, and the set-up and event room were great. The bar, the restaurant and the fabulous patio are welcoming, and we heard live music. A tent room is available for special events. "Spa" has been added to the name. You'll need to ask about that, as I did not use the spa. The paddle wheel boat to Blennerhassett Island and the museum are within walking distance. Up the street is a wine bar and brewery. Come and relax. We like this place. On this weekend the price was less than the local Hampton Inn.

I always make sure to stop in at The Blennerhassett in downtown Parkersburg when I'm in town visiting family! This is one of my favorite cocktail bars inside of the hotel. It's nice, quiet and they have very friendly bartenders that are always willing to give a good recommendation for a drink. Make sure and stop in on your next visit to Parkersburg, WV!
