Mountain Creek | Fine Dining

We had special reservations for a special dinner (Oct 25, 2025). The staff came out to greet us and told us what we would be eating for the evening. The food was amazing and the ambience of the live music being played, was fantastic. Because I am a disabled veteran, I needed special accommodations for me. I spoke to one of the managers, Keith, and the head waitress about my needs. Both of them, allowed me to pick out a table in which I would feel comfortable. They were absolutely kind and understanding with my disability.

It was an 8 course meal and all of the food was amazing!! The Chef brought in heritage recipes from his family which like me, is Appalachian heritage! It was all AMAZING! I do hope the food I had, will be on the menu when they open back up. Keith did tell our group, Mountain Creek will be remodeled for next season!!

The newly installed tram is also awesome! Smooth ride and spacious! It does stop for a few minutes to allow guests in the pods in front to get off.

This is worth the visit, the team ride is excellent, gorgeous views of the mountains. The restaurants looks out at the creek and is nice and relaxing. We got and appetizer, drinks and dinner, all was good although my pork chop was way to salty. This was our second time here and we will visit again.

My husband and I rode the tram and ate dinner here. The staff members were all wearing masks due to COVID precautions, but unfortunately a group of 4 young ladies in line in front of us didn't feel it was necessary. When I backed up & actually went out into the hallway to wait, I noticed that one of them put on a mask. Thank you. Our waiter, Phil was friendly, helpful, cool, efficient and professional. He anticipated our every need and we didn't have to ask for anything. This young man has skills and experience, and we thought he certainly is management material !!! He made his job seem effortless and he was so pleasant that we felt like we were being waited on by our son. THANK YOU PHIL. I ordered Chicken with cranberries, cheese and wild rice, which was out of this world !!! My husband got the crab cakes, which were large and delicious. The hot bread was very good, and we received soft butter and another spread, which we forgot to ask Phil what it was, but it was very good, too. Our dining experience was absolutely perfect & we would love to go back again. We thought the prices were very good for such fine dishes. Thank you to the chef and everyone else at Mountain Creek. We rode the tram back up in the dark, which was a little disorienting, since everything was pitch black. Could they put small solar lights n the poles or something ?

You will love this restaurant, hook, line and sinker! Fine dining at its best with a stunning view. Kudos to Lilly the chef for gustatory delights and to the entire staff for great food handling and customer service!

Good food and excellent service!

We had read reviews that the food was fantastic and were thrilled it was true! The chef has trained at Greenbrier and has exceptional talent and tastes! We had 6 meals between the two main restaurants and always had fantastic foo.

Two stops here: one for drinks at the bar (in a state park!), and another for a dinner. The bartender was great, and the dinner was really good food. Nice view of the river while you're eating, and an opportunity for a walk to and along the river while you're there.

Great food and great ambiance

We rode the aerial tram to the bottom and had a fantastic dining experience. Staff were so courteous and attentive. My husband had the brisket and white cheddar mac and cheese and raved about it. I am vegan and they were completely and happily accommodating. I had an arugula salad with fresh veggies and balsamic and a seared tofu stir fry with mushrooms, onions, roasted tomatoes and roasted asparagus. Everything was very clean and they were practicing safe measures. The meal was no more expensive than another other restaurant. You will be given a validation ticket to cover the cost of your tram ride which makes it even more worth it. We truly enjoyed our anniversary dinner and experience.
