Chicken salad on the croissant was amazing. Sweet pasta salad on the side hit the spot. First time here and will definitely visit again. Clean relaxing atmosphere.

This is an updated post. This is our 2nd visit because it’s a great little cafe. If you’re traveling on the Midland Trail, hwy 60, through W Virginia and need a place to eat stop at this cafe. Great grilled cheese and mushroom button soup. Great price on homemade bread that’s good too!

A charming bakery/cafe. A limited selection, mostly fresh baked breads and some cake/pastry choices, with a good variety of coffee drinks and flavors. There is also a sit-down café menu, which we didn’t have the chance to try, but everything we did get was homemade and excellent. We pass through Rainelle on road trips and we will be stopping at Fruits of Labor on each trip!

Dietary restrictions: My wife requested lactose free milk for her coffee, which they usually have on hand. Today they didn’t, but the woman helping us offered to run across the street and pick some up! That wasn’t necessary but it was very kind of her to offer, and it was greatly appreciated.

Parking: There is street parking along the main road, and a parking lot at the Family Dollar across the street.

Very fresh, creative meals. I had the ham and Swiss dipper sandwiches with a garden salad. Attentive service. Nice atmosphere, small-town, country vibe.

Think it's a place that helps people. Gives stuff away, finds resources to get them help,

Fruits of Labor provided a catered dinner-picnic family reunion event for approx 100. Their service, presentation, menu selection, quality of all entrees, sides and deserts were all outstanding. Portions were as advertised and delicious. F.O.L. was very efficient and easy to work with when planning our event. No last minute changes or surprises with pricing. F.O.L. arrived at the requested time and performed every function just as we had requested. We will certainly be in contact with F.O.L. for our next gathering. Would recommend F.O.L, to anyone seeking catering service.
