Of course you'd find this little piece of heaven in west Virginia. Stopped in for breakfast and loved it so much came back for dinner. You know when you eat something and it reminds you of your Nana's home made food, it takes you back to the good ol days, that's the definition of just how good their food is. Not only is the food amazing but the prices are so reasonable I didn't feel the need to watch what I ordered because it didn't cost an arm and leg even for a family of 4. Highly highly recommend this place.

POSSIBLY THE WORST FOOD EVER! I've traveled and eaten in 42 out of 50 states and multiple countries around the world and this may have just taken the trophy for worst food I've ever eaten. My public high school food puts this garbage to shame. EVERYTHING was frozen or canned, barely warm and delivered to your table with an attitude and a frown. I highly recommend the waitresses leave this side of the hill once in a while and learn some social skills. Trash food. Trash service Way too long of a wait for pure garbage!

STAY AWAY! The food is disgusting. Fresh trout is a lie. It's definitely frozen. Instant mashed potatoes and canned green beans. Our party of 4 all have upset stomachs. Service is horrendously slow. It took 15 mins to get a menu. Another 15 mins to then finally order and 45 mins later our appetizer and dinner came out together. Waitress never once refilled our drinks or asked us how we are doing. She refilled everyone around us 3 times. The other waitress rolled her eyes when I asked for a slice of pie to go which was also disgusting. Don't waste your $ or time. Front porch pizza 10-15 mins away is much better.

After hearing how great this place was I was really very disappointed. We were waited on order was taken promptly... We ordered an appetizer that never came... Sweet tea tasted like bleach... Yes bleach... Easily fixed by filtering the water you make the tea with... Mashed potatoes weren't make with butter or milk and you could def taste it. Not what I expected at all. I ordered grilled chicken breast.. My guy got steak... Chicken wasn't seasoned, or marinated... Just chicken smacked on a grill... Pretty much the same with the steak. We both also got green beans.. Also, not seasoned.. Beans from a can heated up.. My steamed carrots were also not steamed. Just cut up carrots from a can heated up in the same juice they were canned in..... SAVE YOUR MONEY... Go to grilling time or o Neil's...

Food was absolutely wonderful! I had a open faced roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy and Cole slaw. All was fantastic. My husband had a cheeseburger and he said the burger was excellent. It is actually good home cooked meals. The waitress was also great!

I've been here plenty of times and usually get the trout dinner. This last time they weren't that busy, but our waitress didn't check on us very much at all. The trout was good though.

The main meal was very good as always. But the waitress was helpful but not friendly. When we ask for dessert the pie was not homemade..I got lemon meringue with no meringue and my husband got red velvet cake which was dry and a sliver. Each dessert was $4.40 which was to much for what was served.
