We have been dining here, and taking my grandmother for special occasions, for years and continue to be pleased. Saturday was no different, the buffet is always a great option and the menu options are always delicious, as well. The place did seem understaffed, but our server did her absolute best during the busy dinner rush. We will be back.

This restaurant can and will cancel your open table reservation prior to your meal time BUT still show up! This happened to us and they were completely dead with tables available. Also, ask to sit near the lake view windows if possible. The staff like to congregate and complain about restaurant gossip- staff being sick, staffing, family life- and it greatly disturbs the peace of your restaurant experience. This seems to occur back by the buffet glass on either side and also in a room behind the scenes that you can still hear from on the hostess stand side of the restaurant. We ate there 4 times in 2 days so I noticed patterns very quickly.

They advertise gluten free options but the staff has NO IDEA what they are talking about. I got sick my first night staying at the Stonewall because of their negligence. I have celiac disease and stated how serious this was and they acted like they understood. It was asked many times if certain things were gluten free and met with a lot of "Uhhhhh... I think so?" UNACCEPTABLE. People with food allergies deserve better.

I ordered the halibut with sweet potato mash. when it came, the sweet potatoes were cubed, not mashed. that would have been ok except they were unseasoned, undercooked and cold. the fish was also unseasoned, except for the apple topping (which was pretty good). but the fish was so overcooked that it had the taste and texture of styrofoam. others in our party got the buffet. they said the food was just ok. but the guy who was supposed to be carving the prime rib was busy scrubbing the floor behind the buffet the whole time we were there. first of all, i can't believe they had the same person scrubbing the floor and carving the roast. secondly, you had to insist he stop to serve you and he made it clear he was displeased to be interrupted. overall, bad to mediocre food and bad to mediocre service. to top it off, our entrees and buffet were all $30+ so the price was way out of sync with the quality and service.

For the prices this place charges, it is absolutely inexcusable to be using prepackaged "instant" eggs and mashed potatoes. I have never been to a resort that has 2 star hotel style food. So disappointing. Stop taking advantage of the fact you're one of the only restaurants in the area and start providing palatable, fresh food.

The food was great, you could choose from either the Stillwaters menu or the TJMuskies menu as they operate under the same kitchen. Food options were varied and not just run of the mill. Everyone in our 5 party group had no problem choosing something they liked. They offered both a dinner and breakfast buffet with many foods to choose from. The ambiance was very casual with nice decor and everything was clean. I heard one of the staff say that they are slowly renovating the space although it didn't seem outdated to me. The service was phenomenal, they were all very friendly and accommodating. Dale was one of our favorite servers. Our group ate here exclusively during our stay in one of the Lakehouses. I highly recommend this restaurant. (Incidentally, we never made reservations because on a vacation we don't want to have to watch a clock and we wanted to eat when we were hungry and we never had problems getting seated right away although the hostesses sort of acted snippy that we didn't have reservations)

Service was a little spotty. Buffet was good but overpriced. Problem is there really isn't anywhere else to go.

Our waitress was excellent. The food was different, but good. Our last night there some children kept running in and out the doors near our table constantly. Parents didn't seem to care but it was so distracting. Tables need not b that close to the doors!!! Fly's coming in also. Also, kids were allowed to continue to mess with the food on the buffet. Should have notices up for the parents to be present with kids. Especially when we are paying that much for a meal it would be nice to be able to enjoy it. Don't know what can be done to help with that. But other wise we enjoyed our stay. Thank you

The food is on par with frozen meals, the prices are high, and the wait times for your orders are abysmal. The staff is friendly, and many people will find the rustic decor appealing. There aren't any other options without driving 20 minutes away, and they're definitely exploiting this fact.
