A tiny diner in the woods. It has a relaxed atmosphere. Really good burgers and specials. You can't forget the pies. One that surprised me was green tomato pie. It's an honest must try. Taste like an apple pie. Great little place. Cash only as of right now.
Parking: It's a little place. It has parking. If it's real busy parking can be a little tight.

This place is great!Small diner out on a country road near Arlington, WV.Janice has the best home cooked meals and breakfast is served all day as well. The menu is small and to the point with all of the favorites and specials on the board every day. Portions are big and the prices are very reasonable.The diner is small with only 4 available tables and is decorated in a classic car theme. The coffee and conversation are always flowing with the local folks at the diner. I do not believe that there has ever been a stranger walk thru the door that didn't walk out knowing everyone in the room.Make it a point if you are in the Rock Cave/Arlington area to make a trip "up the country" to Gaines Diner to have a great meal, visit with the locals, and enjoy the charm of what this place has to offer.

I love this diner! Excellent service and great food for the price! My grandfather is a local and he practically lives here - he loves meeting friends here, both old and new! It’s really a great place to for coffee or a quick bite.
