The employee was extremely nice. Our chicken was dried out and over cooked. We wont be eating there again. The place needs cleaned and organized.

7/12/2024. There was only one employee working when we showed up. He was nice but a bit of a character. The food was OK could have been warmer, and portion size for cost was a bit small. We try to support local businesses while on vacation. If in the area we would try again.

Ultra Dry smoked pork, the brisket was all fat & almost no meat, the corn and green beans were mush - as if they came out of a can and still overcooked. Then the guy who apparently does the smoking just came up to people at the picnic tables and was insulting to various people. Horrendous. Only the guy who took the orders was pleasant to deal with.

Actually went to a place on mountain that said it was open but they were not. My guest was wanting adult beverages. We stopped here. They don't have them but we were hungry. We both went brisket. I got loaded baked potato salad and bacon wrapped asparagus. I also got a bison bratwurst. It was all good but that bison brat knocked my socks off. Loved their sauces. Regular and the Carolina mustard one. Small place. Tons of outdoor seating. Pet Friendly! Several tempting dessert selections but I was too full.

Went there today after working up at snowshoe on a job. Amazing BBQ for a fair price! Definitely is some great bbq and just talking to the guys there while it was being put together you can tell that they care about their quality.

The BEST place to eat in WV. I can down 2 brisket burgers at a time. Anytime I’m on the mountain, I’m gonna be stopping at the smoke house. Owner and staff and cool and charismatic. Nice atmosphere.
