Service was great - our waiter (Thomas) was super friendly and efficient. The food , however, was less than desirable. My husband and I both had burgers . They reminded me of my grandmother's hockey puck hamburgers - super well done . I appreciate the flash back to grandma's cooking but I'm not fond of well done meat .. I would not rethink place for the food . Maybe other items on the menu are better - you will get good service..

Great food. Great service. I had the hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. I have had many hot roast beef sandwiches with mashed potatoes and gravy over the course of my life, but I would have to say this was the best that I have ever eaten. In fact, the next evening we decided to eat at Foxfire so that my dinner companions could then order the same dish. They were also decidedly pleased with the dish. Simply delicious after a day of outdoor activities.

We were somewhat skeptical given some of the reviews. Turns out it was GREAT. Meagan was our server - she could work in any 5 establishment and would be right at home. The wings were great as was quesadilla. Only downside to our day visit was lack of parking. I finally "snuck" into a parking lot reserved for some sort of special parking pass. Clearly "the shoe" is not welcoming to day trippers.

I had the catfish and shrimp platter and I substituted the fries with a baked potato and I was charged extra for the sour cream. The dish was flavorful, but I wished I would have received 6 shrimp instead of just 4 shrimp. I loved the maw maw cole slaw, it was probably the best item on the entrée. I sat at the bar and the bar tender was very attentive, he was always filling up my soda water; unfortunately I had to pay $3.00 for that, when most restaurants don't charge you for that. Overall a very pleasant experience, I would recommend it.

Can't order half the menu till after 4 doesn't say that anywhere other than the menu once you get here. Would say how amazing the steak is but I was here at 2 and was told basically too bad. Sounds like a terrible business model. "We can't make money till after 4pm"
Options are limited up at Snowshoe for a late dinner, we lucked out big time here. We dove straight in with entrees and loved our choices. Hubby had the catfish po-boy and it was great but my dinner was the bomb / pork shank! Fell off the bone, so flavorful. Loved it. Service was amazing too. Really enjoyed Damon our super friendly & efficient server. Great evening out!
We loved the Uptown Mac! Our take out order was prepared quickly and efficiently. Sandy treated us like old friends, started with a warm welcome and ended with a sense of belonging to a kind community.
