Service was great - our waiter (Thomas) was super friendly and efficient. The food , however, was less than desirable. My husband and I both had burgers . They reminded me of my grandmother's hockey puck hamburgers - super well done . I appreciate the flash back to grandma's cooking but I'm not fond of well done meat .. I would not rethink place for the food . Maybe other items on the menu are better - you will get good service..
Great food. Great service. I had the hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. I have had many hot roast beef sandwiches with mashed potatoes and gravy over the course of my life, but I would have to say this was the best that I have ever eaten. In fact, the next evening we decided to eat at Foxfire so that my dinner companions could then order the same dish. They were also decidedly pleased with the dish. Simply delicious after a day of outdoor activities.
We were somewhat skeptical given some of the reviews. Turns out it was GREAT. Meagan was our server - she could work in any 5 establishment and would be right at home. The wings were great as was quesadilla.\n Only downside to our day visit was lack of parking. I finally "snuck" into a parking lot reserved for some sort of special parking pass. Clearly "the shoe" is not welcoming to day trippers.
