Twice I’ve ordered 3 foot long toasted steak subs. Both times the bread was so soggy it wasn’t fit to eat. Called and told the manager her reply was it must be mayo soaking into the bread because they run them through the oven 2 times. Those sandwiches maybe went through that oven once. I’ve never had this problem ordering toasted sandwiches from here until now. The oven is either broken or the young boys don’t take the time to run the sandwiches to make sure they are toasted. Seems they are more interested in going outside to smoke or play around than to make sure they are sandwiches are done the right way. $55 and inedible; I will get my steak sandwiches from dominos from now on. If you want a toasted sandwich, do not go here.

It wasn't busy at all, and the workers were very nice and made the food quickly. The atmosphere was peaceful and not at all rushed. The food was DELICIOUS, and I would definitely come here again! They also gave us a free cookie!

First time here, or for that fact, to a Penn Station East Coast Subs. We were pleasantly surprised! The first thing we noticed was that this restaurant was squeaky clean; even the bathrooms! There were two friendly staff that greeted us and gave us some time to look over the nice sandwich menu. I had heard that they had a good beefsteak sub, and I had to try it. My wife had a delicious ham and cheese on a grilled roll with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. She said they threw the ham on the griddle first, and it even beat the Jersey guys sub. My beefsteak had plenty of chopped steak, with some onions, mushrooms, and banana peppers. The cheese was baked into the cut roll first. It made for a delicious meld with the meat. Hands down, they use the best white rolls in the entire area. I found the mushrooms and banana peppers too overbearing every time I hit a bite of one. I will leave them both off the next time. It's too bad they don't offer regular green peppers. The seasoning was good and flavorful, but I always add salt, which I found most restaurants don't use except sparingly. We found that they also offer homemade large cookies at the register counter. We were too full for trying them now. Refills are available on the soda fountain drinks. The soda pop was dispensing with a good amount of syrup and not all club- soda-like and was a refreshing drink.
I would recommend this chain as there's numerous around. This one is next to the Auto Zone parts store behind the local PD Station. Plenty of parking. Check out the photos for an idea how nice this store was.
BTW: I'm on a journey to try beefsteaks in the Charleston area. This one is ranking high. I have many more to try......Mmmmmmm......

The food is consistently better than Subway
No line when I went in, ordered one sandwich and order of fries, waited 30 minutes. They gave the guy behind me fries so I had to still wait for then to cook more even after the long wait
We ordered 2 large cheesesteak subs, from Saint albans wv store, got home and could not eat them, they were so salty, I called the store name spoke with Jeremiah, the manager, he was rude and had no intentions to make our order right, stated he had made them himself and they were fine. You have lost our business.
Food was amazing and the service was great. Highly recommend and to fo here.

My husband and have ordered several times at the Saint Albans location recently. We moved here in 2016 and are just recently gave it a try. The food is amazing every time we order. The restaurant is always clean , but most importantly the staff has been so great every single time we've come! Even when they have been slammed buisy they greet us kindly as soon as we walk through the door, and take out order. This has been the best place for us to eat at in all of Saint Albans. Keep up the great work Saint Albans Penn Station, we appreciate everyone of you!!!!!!!

The first three pictures shows just one of the subs we ordered. I use the eat at Penn Station just about everyday some years back when I worked in Charleston. When they made the subs then, the subs were always full to the overflowing.
We ordered two different subs that cost over $19 each and they came in with hardly no toppings at all.
Just compare the first three pictures of the sub I received and what they advertised and you can see the problem.
I will never buy another sub from Penn Station unless they can convince me a mistake was made in the making of my order.

Best subs in the valley! The place is always clean and orderly, and the staff are quick to help the customer. Management stays on top of everything. Clearly, that's evident when you visit here.
