best restaurant ever
My new favorite restaurant!!! The atmosphere was amazing, it transports you back to the 50’s! Service was wonderful. The waitress that served us was as sweet as a peach. Don’t even get me started on our food! Hands down, the BEST food I’ve ever eaten! Not too pricey, either. My husband and I have been raving about it since we visited! We will definitely be back.
Spectacular and delicious food. HUGE BURGERS. Killer onion rings. Diamond is a real gem.
Horrible service. Took forever to get our food after repeatedly asking and being lied to on timing. Staff was too focused on all the to go orders instead of people in the restaurant. Food was just ok after all that waiting. Never again!
The fries are fantastic and the English dogs are awesome.
A friend mentioned this place so we gave it a try. The food is FANTASTIC as is the atmosphere. The waitress/hostess is perfect! Great personality and attentive. She completes the entire experience.
Awesome food great timing thank u
We were looking for a place to have dinner in this very cold Saturday night and decided to try the "Red Line Diner." It was a great decision. We read the reviews before visiting the restaurant, but our experience there was even better than we expected. Our hostess, this young lady named Dyamond (yes, with a "y), was extremely kind and always checked on us. Their tea was freshly brewed, and she kept refilling our glasses. The food was marvelous as well. If you like melted cheese, the cheese ravioli may make you very happy. :) Our pastas came with salads and toast. I also loved the 50ish, 60ish style decoration. Another thing that truly got my attention was the great music videos being played on their TV. The 90s and early 2000's R&B songs (everything from Mary J. Blige and Mariah Carey to Faith Evans and Leela James) made the night even more special. The music selection truly made me feel like I was having dinner in one of those wonderful diners in New Jersey. Dyamond was the one responsible for the music selection. Thumbs up, young lady! We are definitely coming back because food is not all when one goes out for dinner. It is also about the service and the atmosphere. And, folks, this place got it all.
My wife and I stopped at Red Line Diner based on Facebook recommendations! Let me say this place did not disappoint!! The food was delicious and so was the service! Lots of dessert and food options! I had the cheese breadsticks and a calzone! It was delicious! Everything was made fresh to order! Be sure to check them out the next time you are in Saint Albans!
Food was very good but service was quite slow as they were very busy and only one waitress. The booth seats were not very comfortable as the springs were very worn out and could be felt easily and that's not good.

My wife and I stopped in last night and waited 20 minutes for someone to take our order! When we arrived we were the only ones in the restaurant! Never again will I stop at this place! A note to the owner if you are wondering why your business is slow walk across the street to Mediterranean grill and order food and you will see what good service looks like!!!

***Update*** This place gets better and better. The home made triple layer birthday cake is delicious. I hope they makes whole birthday cakes!!! This cake truly gives Spring Hill Bakery and Rock City a run for their money! Everything on the menu has been good. This little diner is a West Virginia Jewel.***** Amazing lunch and dinner. Great, friendly environment!!

Okay this place has great food and the service was good. We enjoy going here to eat and you do get your money's worth but my only complaint is that it needs updated, cleaned and painted and parking lot kept clean. Setting there with my OCD with cleaning, I told my husband I would love to come in here and clean this place from top to bottom and get it painted, redecorate some, and get that parking lot cleaned but I have to say the food is great and we enjoy going there.
