Unfortunately after many years the business has permanently closed while the state widens the road. Loved meeting friends regularly at the Rainbow Diner on Saturday mornings for breakfast. Good food, and great service. Stopped one last time the last day they were open on March 30, 2024. It was a sad day.

Always good food! Nothing fancy, but good food and service! I think they should put a Louis Special on the menu because I get it there every time I go! It is a BLT + a fried egg + cheese = dabomb

I stopped by here after work for a meal and some cold ones with 3 of my coworkers. Now I was born and raised in LA and my co workers were also foreigners born and raised in Honduras. Imagine 4 brown men in dirty construction clothes walking in this place we definitely stood out. Nevertheless our money was green and the lady over counter was sweet and welcoming so we took a seat at the bar. She let us use the pool tables and listen to Marco Antonio Solis on the music box while we waited for the food. We had a decent plate of chicken with mashed potatoes though my coworkers thought it was bland. Then again we aren't accustomed to the West Virginia American dinning. What I liked most about the place was the rich music history. Trip down memory lane with all the photos of famous American artists. However at the end of our visit I was charged $66 which was pretty good but I gave the same lady over the counter $77 ($11 dollar tip) she gave me back $3 and she asked "no tip"? I was perplexed enough to return the $3 to her but then she told us to "get out". I suspect she got upset I didn't fall for her nifty trick. Good try though. Make sure the lady over the counter gives you a receipt before you pay she might try to pull a fast one. Overall had lots of fun here. Definitely going again.
