Was on a road trip and needed to stay somewhere along the way. Went with my sister and her teenage son. We stayed in one of the glamping rooms and it was really nice! Loved how peaceful it was and you’re able to see the stars from the room. We chose to have dinner and breakfast at the hotel and it was nice. There’s running water and ac in the glamping rooms. The only difference is the material that covers the dome is a tent/cloth like consistency. If you’re talking somewhat loud, everyone will hear you outside. But it wasn’t a big deal for us. It’s a great place to check out!

We were there for the Cafe. The food was INCREDIBLE. Atmosphere was excellent , good service and really fair pricing.

The room was dusty/dirty. Fan blades, window shades, and the perimeter of the floor had a layer of dust built up. The room had a mildew smell. Outside of the home was starting to look neglected with maintenance needed. It was a quiet night's sleep and the chicken parmesan meal was good. Overall not bad.

Traveling through and saw this on Google maps. Excellent dinner, nice room—Carriage house, Lake room. Good small staff

We stayed here for the Big Foot Festival. The room was lovely and the outdoor area is pleasant for morning coffee. If you are an early riser as I am, you will be greeted by deer.

We had dinner there tonight, 6/12/2025. Called ahead, made reservations for two at 6:30. Arrived ahead of time, were seated quickly. First round of drinks ordered and received within five minutes. Placed entree orders. So far so good.

Thirty minutes later, no activity. Had to grab server (two servers on duty, walking repeatedly within four feet of our table) to get a second drink.

The lack of communication from staff was the worst part, they acted as if we weren't there.

Fifty minutes after seating, no food and no communication from staff. I gave them a five minute deadline to put something on the table. Three minutes after that, our meals arrived.

Meals were actually quite good and well prepared, but enjoyment of them was tarnished by the unconscionable wait and complete lack of communication from staff. I wanted to leave for Pizza Hut but was restrained by my wife.

The house provided a generous discount on the bill, but I still left a miserly 5% tip, which is the lowest tip I have left in the past decade. It takes a lot to get me to go below 20%. Didn't like doing it but didn't want to reward poor service at this level. Sorry.

Stayed in one of the yurts on our way home frome Myrtle Beach and my family and I loved it. Located in the middle of the West Virginia Mountains, situated in a cute 200 year old mountain town, in the woods along a river. We we're looking for something different than the typical 3 star hotel and our glad we made the choice. The yurt was spacious and cutely decorated. The grounds were beautiful with fire pits and activities. You shouldn't expect a 5 star hotel, but you can definitely count on a fun interesting experience with a clean place to stay. I would say the yurt was just as nice as any typical 3 star hotel room. Loved it, definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something different.

Really out of the way, quiet and adorable little town along the Elk River next to a creek bubbling with life and birds singingc frogs jumping, little fish. It was just so lovely.

Unfortunately didn’t get to experience any of the services offered as I was there for only one day, and the host was out sick for breakfast. I didn’t really know where to park unfortunately, so I parked at the little park across the bridge, and those were my only two complaints.

I’d 100% stay here again, and would extremely highly recommend this spot. Super cute, super cozy, very comfortable.

We booked a room for my birthday and it's been the greatest stay I've had in a small town like this. Me and my wife are from a small town and this place far exceeds the places we've been. It's a great small town feel with the best food I've had at a hotel. We stayed in a room in the building and it was clean and well taken care of. We will definitely be back.

The chicken and vegetables were really good, the rice pilaf was very flavorful but a little dry. The smash-burger and fries were great! Excellent service!

We stayed in one of Glamping tents and had a beautiful night. The bathroom was very clean and had great water pressure and we were able to watch the river all night through the wall of plastic. Will definitely come back to stay again.

So we ate at the cafe it used to be called cafe cimino and was pretty fancy and I hear very good. Well that is a thing of the past. We made reservations for a party of 4 and were seated fairly quickly. We ordered drinks and appetizers consisting of a sweet tea a Dr Pepper and 2 waters with loaded cheese fries. The appetizer was $10 and was not as many fries as a large from McDonalds and they were just as frozen. They had cheese jalapeño peppers and tomatoes on them they wasn’t terrible but they were very lack luster. The waitress did not bother to refill the waters when she took our orders my wife eventually went and got the pitcher from the hostess stand and refilled them herself. We ordered a chicken Alfredo and 3 steak subs my wife ordered hers with American cheese a few minutes later we could here the cook yelling about we don’t have that order off the menu referring to the American cheese and in a few moments came and asked about the cheese choice. After the food was finally brought took about an hour the chicken Alfredo was weird textured and bland and just not good it was a small portion but that’s fine cause it was inedible so we told the waitress who got the manger that proceed to scold us because it was fine and offered to to take half off we asked her to take it all off because none was eaten. The subs were ok they had no mayo or sauce on them so very dry. To make matters worse the walls are thin and were close to the kitchen and had a front row seat to hear the hostess and manger making fun of the customers including us. This was the worst restaurant experience I have had possibly ever. A couple more things to keep in mind if you visit if you got to the restroom while you are here you can be heard peeing by everyone at least in the room we were seated in. Be prepared for slow service while we were here another family came in and was seated after 15mins they left because no one had been back to there table and as far as I could tell we were the only other people there at the time. There was also some kind of black stuff floating in my drpepper I didn’t even drink it. To the restaurant please feel free to contact me I will answer any questions you have.

Do not book.

Unfortunately, my visit did not live up to expectations. I reserved a king suite dome while in town for my grandfather’s funeral. At check-in I was told the restaurants hours had shifted for the night and I would need to hurry right back if I wanted any food which I did. (The tomato soup was less than desirable.)

Inside my dome I found a seriously excessive amount of dust everywhere. The dome had not been properly assembled, leaving gaps, which I could see all the way to the ground below the deck on which the done was sitting which created a draft and since I was staying at the beginning of March, it was quite cold because of that draft. There are not enough heaters to account for the West Virginia, wind and cold. I could deal with these things since I did book a tent in March in West Virginia. The real disappointment came in the morning with the breakfast that I was sold at dinner. I stood in the rain knocking on the door for 30 minutes because the only time you could get breakfast was between 8:30 AM to 9 AM. No one ever answered the door after making 10 phone calls. I was informed that the gal who was running the restaurant was sleeping upstairs and she could be down in 10 minutes to begin opening for no I will not I will not. I will not allow it. OK stop please breakfast. This made me angry as you can imagine as I was on a schedule. So I went back to my dome, thinking about how badly my back hurt and looked under the bed to find the bed was broken, bent, and propped up with lots of wood. This is unacceptable a hotel should at the very least have a bed that is not broken and sunken in towards the middle. I attempted to seek resolution but they were not accommodating. They would not refund even a portion of my money after having slept on the lopsided bed in the literal wind and cold. 🥶
