Bubba's Gourmet Burghers & Beer at the Highlands

Today My Dad and I was at the Car Show they had going on and we went in and had some lunch and Our Waiter was really good and very nice ☺️ and the place was well cleaned and operated very nicely 🙂 and The food was Delicious 🙂 This was our First time eating here as well but definitely recommend trying of you haven't already

My boyfriend and I were just reminiscing about some of our first dates here. Though we struggled to remember the name, there was one thing we remembered so distinctly we said it at the same time: “Do you remember those fried pickles?” Seriously THE best I’ve ever had. I was so glad to search it up and see that it’s still alive and kicking post-pandemic. We love you, Bubba’s! Hope you’ll be making crazy-good burgers for young and deeply in-love college students for years to come. ❤️

We stopped after dropping our son off at football camp at Wheeling and found this gem of a place!

First of all, our waitress was fantastic… she was warm, kind, and genuine (also beautiful). We came in right around 4 o’clock on a Friday and we were ecstatic that they had great beer specials.

I ordered the onion rings and fried pickles. They were exactly what I was looking for… phenomenal. My wife had a ruben (loved it).

Not sure if it’s a West Virginia thing but we felt so welcomed. I believe it was mainly our server who created this vibe. This will be a definite destination to return to when we go see our son! Actually can’t wait to go back!

Good food, good service. Our party shared some mozzarella sticks and fried pickles. Both were delicious. One had the open faced pot roast and others had burgers. It was all good. Fried zucchini was the only thing that slightly missed the mark. It could have been cooked a little longer. Other than that, it was a great experience. I would definitely recommend 👌

Upon arrival we were told a minimum of a 20 min wait, although more than half the tables were open, we couldn't even get seated to get water while waiting for service. Once we got service the food quality was poor and not good like previous times we have visited. Our waiter was not attentive after serving food, he soon got two more tables then never came back to us. After waiting another 20 minutes patiently for our check we had to ask another server for our check. Our original server never did come back. We left feeling very disappointed and frustrated.

Amazing food quality, great and quick service. Large guest room was a bit warm but that didn’t bother me personally.

I wish I had better things to say. Wait staff was attentive and friendly, but the food, surprisingly sub-par. All three orders of fries were soggy and limp, not even remotely crispy. They are made with real potatoes (a plus) but if they aren’t in the fryer long enough they’re just a greasy mess. Smash burger was fine, chicken tenders were fine (annoyed at the upcharge for ranch when we were asked what sauce did we want with the tenders), burger with fried pickles was just OK. The wings were a disappointment also; undercooked, skin rubbery. I stopped eating after the third was borderline raw at the center.

I will always support a local business with a mission. The food was just overall mediocre at best. Maybe middle of the afternoon was a bad time for a visit.

Love their burgers. Especially as a wrap! Great atmosphere! Have eaten here multiple times. Trivia night is fun.

Food was delicious and served fast. Waitress was good but there was only one and the poor hostess had to help her out. Had to wait awhile for drink refills and to have someone pick up our check. Need more wait staff!!! One waitress and the hostess isn't enough!

Kitchen got backed up. Food excellent. Wait staff on it. Drink refills. Appetizers delish. Portions generous. Very graciously stored the bday ice cream cake till we were ready for it. Highly recommend party room.

Place was cold the food was amazing 10/10 recommend for your burger cravings. I had the wild wild west burger and husband hand bacon ranch burger. And they both were amazing.
