I ordered the meatloaf and it was not very good. The potatoes were cold too. A little over priced for what they serve.

There is much about this restaurant to commend. Easy access. Abundant parking. Easy seating. Capable, attentive staff. Diverse menu. Pleasant atmosphere. Innovative cocktails.

But even on the best days, nothing's perfect. I ordered Ribs and Shrimp with Steamed Broccoli and Baby Carrots. Let me tell you, even though the carrots were barely warm, they were very tasty. The broccoli was still green, cooked thoroughly with being overcooked to that sickly yellow green color indicative of too long under the heat lamp. The shrimp were fried nearly to perfection. It was, however, not a good day for ribs.

You get half a slab. They're immense. They looked delicious. But you know what they say about beauty only being skin deep. Those ribs were overcooked, dry, and the sauce had no balance of sweet and heat. Too much pepper unfazed by the coyingly sweet over caramelized sugar in the sauce. I should have ordered the steak or the chicken sandwich or the burger, all of which looked equally tempting on the menu.

Ribs can be temperamental. Given the MANY favorable reviews for Cheddar's I suspect my experience was an anomaly. I paid my bill at the little digital machine on the table, left half a rack of ribs on the table to be thrown away and was going to simply leave the restaurant when I decided to share my experience with the manager.

Nice person came, asked what I needed, listened to my complaint, accepted the validity of my experience without making excuses, offered that they had a new person on the broiler that could explain how the ribs got dried out, and offered to remove the ribs from my bill. Friends, that's what a manager should do! Kudos!

I wasn't interested in having the bill I had already paid altered. I think I would have liked the server to have contacted the manager about my experience before I paid the bill, but with the digital system so many restaurants are using (which removes the whole personal interaction and opportunity for servers to help support quality control, in my opinion), she was not aware of the issue because she didn't return to the table until it came time to clear it away.

Summary: Eat here. You'll enjoy it. If you order ribs, you might want to check and see if anyone else has ordered them that day and whether there have been any issues. It's a comfort food restaurant not a BBQ restaurant, after all.

Good food and a bit of over rated place with long wait line even for a late lunch around 3pm. Seeing the wait line took to go. Their so called special croissant is just hyped and since you get it complementary, no comments on it but I wouldn't buy it paid.

Monte Cristo disappointing- swimming in grease tasted and soaked in oil like they threw it in the fryer instead of cooking it on the pan 😞 but service was kind and good- def have to order something else next time

I love cheddars and don’t get to go often since I don’t live close. I have been here before and it was great. Even brought my company there on our last trip. This time it was just two of us and the service was terrible. Our waitress didn’t seem to care about anything and if we asked for anything it took an eternity to get. Didn’t make the drink correct and when it was mentioned she didn’t say anything but “not feeling it”. Nope I wanted it, just wanted it made correctly. Our table was also extremely dirty. The place wasn’t even that busy. I have worked in fast food before so I was trying to give them the benefit but I will not be back.

First time there, very good food.a buddy of mine,my son & I went to go eat after we went to Oglesbay to see the lights service started off good then fell off. We don't know if the waiter was busy, tired or what but beside that we enjoyed ourselves.

Poorly sized portions for the cost. Ordered the chips and queso as an appetizer and I’m not kidding when I say you get more chips in a .75 cent bag of chips than you do with that app. Shrimp Alfredo was good I will say that. But the chicken tender salad was more like a side salad with tenders added than it was a dinner salad. Will not return. The Bill was 119$ and I regret almost every dollar spent
