The atmosphere is extremely cool, but their food is more on the average side. Their eel rice bowl had very little compared to the expensive price, and their chicken katsu wasn't that good. I did like their hibachi dishes and bento box, though. Their interior design is on point and made this experience worthwhile.

Great server, great atmosphere, and the food was perfect.
First off, I have to say the food was truly excellent. Fresh and flavorful, and among the best I had. I am dinging one star because ordering on the phone was utterly painful. I would ask a simple question only for that to be followed by about 60 seconds of silence and then a completely unrelated answer. (For example, "Q: Does the assorted tempura appetizer come with Shrimp? A: We have shrimp tempura roll. Q; No, that's not what I asked. The assorted tempura appetizer on your menu.... does that come with shrimp?A: We have shrimp dumplings. and so on... This continued for about 10 minutes before the lady finally gave the phone to someone else who answered my question and took my order in 30 seconds. She should not be answering the phone, not understanding the English language. (The answer was ultimately "yes, it comes with 2 pieces of shrimp tempura)

Food tasted great, but within 2 hours my partner and I BOTH felt horrendously ill with severe stomach pain and nausea. We both have food poisoning, and give we both had different dishes besides a shared plate of gyoza, my guess is improper handling or storage.
