Staff and atmosphere perfect, food I gave a 3 only because the tomatoes on my BLT were hard and not ripe, for June in WV they should be able to serve ripe tomatoes. Otherwise if I lived there that would be out go to hangout.

I've read a ton of reviews for the Tavern and amazed that no one has mentioned the fact that it's never open, even when the hours are posted for them to be open (Oh, something came up so don't open) . The way it's run is an injustice to the residents of Union and the surrounding area. Yes, the atmosphere is great, the food is good, but it's a crap shoot as to it being open. It seems obvious that the present owner(s) have very little interest in running the business or it's success !! If that's the case, they should consider selling out so someone with an actual interest in community can provide the service that Union and surrounding residents deserve.

We popped in here on a Saturday evening on our way through from SC. It was a great experience. Very warm inviting atmosphere and the food was great. We felt that the drinks and meals were very reasonably priced. The food came out quickly and our waitress was great even though they were pretty busy. We will gladly stop again.

The entire staff here was super helpful when my little girl started feeling bad from the heat after the farmers day parade. They were all so kind and considerate and worked fast to get her feeling better. Service is always great and the food is excellent!

My husband and I ate here for the first time last night. I was blow away by how quaint the atmosphere is but how massively good the food was. Service was super friendly as well. My ribeye was wonderful, and the green beans tasted fresh with great flavor. Spend your money here!

Compliments on the Alfredo Pasta entree with chicken and broccoli. The sauce was perfect, the broccoli bright green and tender but not mushy. Only suggestion is cook the pasta slightly longer so that it will stay on the fork when you eat it (mine kept slipping off which made it hard to eat). Thanks!
