Ate here on our way through coming home to Pittsburgh and usually the food is really good. We ordered a fried chicken sandwich with fries, 2 bowls of chili, and grilled pirogies with onions. The pirogies were slightly undercooked as well as the onions cooked with it, the chili was room temperature and not hot. Temperature is not an issue with most foods for my husband but even he thought it needed to be way hotter than what we were given. We asked the waitress to please take it back to heat a little more and it was brought back just about the same as if it was heated about 20 seconds in the microwave and then sat before the waitress picked it up to bring it to our table. The chicken sandwich was actually heated well but the fries were not very hot at all and honestly lacked salt or any seasoning. I am originally from the area and have come here several times before with my family, the food was definitely much better quality before. We were actually looking forward to having the chili the most and it was really underwhelming in taste and the fact that is wasn’t hot was just the final straw. We ate a few bites because we were hungry but then packed up the rest to take it home where I can doctor it up a bit.

Thank you Leslie and staff for catering our holiday lunch at work. It takes alot of effort to plan for 53 people, between timing and diet restrictions but Ruttenbucks made it happen today! Loaded Baked Potato Bar, pulled pork, chicken and salad. But the folks raved about the ribs and cookies!!! Again, thank you!

Perfect little place in walking distance from the truck stop. The atmosphere is great on the inside, and they even do takeout orders for busy people like me.
Food was very tasty, and I can assure you the burgers are not commie burgers. You can even get them with a special meat patty including Elk, Bison, and Wagyu steak. Got mine Medium Rare like any true blue blooded capitalist! Also, I love me some Texas Toast, which are done really well as the "buns" of the burger. Also.. it's called "Texas" Toast... Not sure how commie you can get out of Texas... Maybe Austin lol.
Additionally, those chips they make that come with the burger are god tier, I'd buy a bag of those to take with me on the road if I could honestly.
Service was also quick too, and they even let me get a very very tasty sweet tea while waiting (never had that kind of service at any restaurant before).
Honestly a 10/10 restaurant off I-70. Highly recommend.

Beware of their burgers!

I went to get a juicy burger and instead I got a sandwitch! To be fair they do have in smalll print that their burgers come with so called "Texas toast" instead of a bun. I was pretty dissapointed by this fact after being misled by a picture of a normal burger with buns on their menu. I would recommend updating pictures of their burgers because what I had was not an American Burger. It was a Communist burger!

Driving home on a 2 week vacation down south, we needed to break up are 8 hour drive and found this fantastic bar and grill right off of I-70 E. Right off the bat we were greeted by Carissa the bartender and was promptly served drinks and placed orders for food. While waiting the owner Leslie introduce herself and engaged in conversation about other wonderful cities we all had been and to visit. The food and drink were fantastic and highly recommend this stop on any road trip taken you thru West Virginia.

This was our final celebratory meal on our way home after a 2-week biking trek and we were very hopeful it would be good. It was better than good, it was absolutely delicious. We were waited on by highly skilled and attentive staff. My water glass was never empty… which is a feat. There was a bit of a mix up on my side, but it was immediately taken care of. If we are ever through this area again, we would definitely stop by. Delicious! youtube @travlinfam

Took the family out for lunch thinking we would get a great meal as we have had in the past. That was not the case today when the food finally came out it was warm not hot and I had the bbq sampler the pulled pork tasted like sweet baby rays and the ribs were dry and cold as for the hamburgers the kids had they were lukewarm like they were sitting out after being cooked the server never checked on us to ask how our meal was or anything. They were prompt on getting our money there was no lack of service when it came to getting there money. We will not be returning there in the future the food taste like a chain restaurant. Sorry but you all dropped the ball

Has to be the worst barbecue I’ve ever had. I ordered the big pig sandwich. First of all, it was just old ass pork with a boatload of sweet barbecue sauce, trying to cover up the fact that the meat’s about four days old. And to top it off, they served it on two pieces of soggy ass bread. I ordered this to go as I’m a truck driver, but I can tell you right now the Truckstop is a better restaurant than this place. It’s not even worth walking across the street.

Ordered the Bootleg Tips and Chicken. Chicken was entirely raw all the way through, which I noticed after a few bites. Hopefully, I don't get sick. They replaced the chicken with ribs per my request, which were the most dry ribs I've had in my entire life. Nothing was comped by staff. We have previously driven an hour to come out here in the past, but I don't think we will be back.

Per the owner's response, I have increased my rating for handling the situation properly.
