Disappointing Experience at Cheddar’s

My wife and I recently decided to have dinner at Cheddar’s for the first time in quite a while. Unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired.

From the moment we pulled into the parking lot, it was clear that the facility has been suffering from a serious lack of maintenance. There were tall weeds growing up throughout the lot, and the landscaping looked neglected. The building itself had loose wooden shakes on the roof, further reflecting the overall decline in upkeep.

Inside, things didn’t improve much. The air conditioning was clearly out of service, with multiple portable units set up throughout the dining area and hoses running across the floor — a poor substitute for a proper fix. The atmosphere was uncomfortable, and the condition of the interior matched the worn-out appearance of the exterior.

Sadly, the food quality has also taken a turn for the worse. What was once a reliable spot for a good meal has now become underwhelming. The dishes lacked freshness and flavor, and it was obvious standards have dropped.

The one bright spot in our visit was our server, Chris (if I recall the name correctly). He was courteous, attentive, and handled his responsibilities well — a true professional in an otherwise disappointing experience.

We sincerely hope Cheddar’s takes steps to improve both its facility and food quality, as this visit was far from the standard we once expected.

The food was outstanding in taste and proportion. It was clean, service was just right, it has a nice ambiance. I give it 6 stars, Cheddar's is amongst the best of its kind.

Our waitress, Rose, was fantastic! Our drinks were always full, she stopped by numerous times to check on us, was friendly and helpful. The food here is ALWAYS fantastic and the portions are plentiful.

Croissants are delicious but very expensive for what they are and how many there are. Food is good and staff has always been super nice. The manager I talked with, Mrs. Karen, I believe, was very nice and helpful.

Atmosphere was very mellow and inviting. Our waiter was great and very helpful when ordering, as this was our first visit. Food came out quick. It was all very good food. Hot and delicious. Very healthy amount of food. Can't recommend this place enough. I know we will visit next time we are in the area.

This place is a lot different than the last time we visited. Our waitress was really nice and did a good job. The food was not near worth the price we had to pay for it. They don't use real cloth napkins, only tiny paper ones that aren't really efficient. The atmosphere was just strange. Probably won't return.

We had the most amazing waitress ever. She was so nice and went above and beyond. If you are there look for Karah C! She was such an amazing waitress and made the whole night better. Food was fast and really good!

I love their croissants. We had the fish and chips which were good. We're kind of fish and chips snobs coming from living on the coast with fresh fish.
