Holl's Handcrafted Swiss Chocolates

I live in the Philadelphia area and visit Parkersburg once or twice a year to see my family. Every time any of my coworkers find out that I'm going home for a visit, they inundate me with requests for Holl's chocolates. They really are something special.

Wonderful chocolate shop. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Milk and dark chocolates delights. I 1st encountered them at Capitol market in Charleston and had to visit their full store. Sad since Covid no more tours. For the season there were cute molded ghosts and turkeys. Delicious truffles. Also some coffee beans types for sale. Well worth the stop

Oh my. When you walk into the elegant Holl's store, you can taste the divine sweetness in the air. It's an upscale shop that reminds me of a chic boutique. The chocolates are absolutely delicious, and aesthetically pleasing. I really enjoyed the marzipan, and dark chocolate truffles. Yum! The quality and flavor of the candy is extraordinary and beautifully boxed, so it's not surprising that their sweets are expensive. Having said that, they do make a truly wonderful gift for the chocolate lovers in your life. Groovy :)

Holl's Chocolate is a staple in the culture of Vienna. Since childhood, I considered Holl's to have the best chocolates. It was an easy go to for St. Valentines Day gifts. I moved away after graduating high-school and would tell people about the chocolatier in my hometown. Years later, I found out they also do coffee, so now I don't buy grounds from anywhere else.The service here is phenomenal. They take customer service/ customer relations seriously. This place should be the standard for the industry.I highly recommend this family owned business. It's a great local place that has history, great service, and well-crafted products!

Parking: Can be a little tricky getting in/out of the parking lot.

Kid-friendliness: The staff are very friendly and will let your little ones try a sample of chocolate.

You would never expect to see a high end Swiss chocolate factory in WV, but there it is. Wide variety of stuff to choose from and a cool atmosphere. Love the music playing in the store. Highly recommend.

We love Holl's Chocolates. So rich and creamy. You can sample one then buy different size boxes. They have more than just chocolate. Worth the stop!!
