TL;DR = they wanted me to pay them $30 for a 3-day-old cake after they missed the birthday and never apologized.
I placed an order for a cake a few days ago for pickup today at 10:00 AM. At 10:06 the lights were still off, doors still locked, no visible movement inside. I couldn't wait any longer for the unknown possibility of them opening today. It was a fairly plain, simple & boring cake that was gonna cost $30. So I went to work, wondering if this place would call me to let me know my order was ready. They took down my name and my phone number at the time I placed the order. There were two employees present when I placed my order, and it was written down. Never got a phone call. What was the point of them taking my phone number if they weren't going to call me to either inform me that my cake was ready for pickup or that they were canceling my order? And knowing that they weren't open at the time I was scheduled to pick up, they certainly should have called me. This cake was for a birthday, and now the birthday was missed.
This place won't be getting a second chance from me.
Update: They called me 30min prior to closing the next day and didn't even apologize. Assuming this cake was made on Wednesday so that it could be picked up at 10am on Thursday, and knowing it was only 30 minutes prior to closing when they called me, they wanted me to come in the next day and still purchase a 3-day old cake from them @ $30 after they couldn't even bother to call me until 30.5 hours later? What kind of business expects someone to pay $30 for a 3-day-old cake when the business missed the birthday and couldn't even be bothered to call the customer within 24hrs? How rude and ridiculous.

Bought a birthday cake here for myself as a test run to see where I'd buy my little brothers in a few months, and I'm greatly disappointed. The cake was simply lackluster, no enthusiasm was placed. When I spoke on the phone, I asked if they could pipe a character, that it didn't have to even be good, just a blob of a circle and 2 lines for wings and a line for its tail (offered to pay more for it too). They said it was too difficult, so I settled for an edible image only cake. I pick up the cake, and yes, the edible image is there and really pretty, however they didn't hide any of the seem lines, once more the icing decoration was meh. I wouldn't have made this post if that was the issue. The issue was the taste. The icing was so grainy and sugary, I couldn't eat it, and the cake was oddly moist (not in a refreshing moist way) and just had a kind of sponge texture. I mean outside the texture, it's just a generic chocolate cake. But overall, I don't believe I'll be ordering from here again, which is regrettable as I've seen so many good reviews.

They've always pretty good little bakery. Everything I've had from there has been good! The only thing is that they seem to be booked up far in advance. So definitely have to plan way ahead if you want a custom order.

Really disappointed with my custom cupcake order. $60 for 36 cupcakes that look like they came from Walmart. I ordered 2 weeks in advance and now I have to scramble to make these look good for our party.
I'm a sucker for sweet icing and this has it. It's honestly been my favorite since I was a teenager. You can buy cakes, pieces of cake, cookies, brownies, chocolate treats, ice cream, etc.

They were able to make us a carrot cake a day before we needed it. And it was probably one of the best carrot cakes I have eaten. This place is amazing. Staff and cake.
I picked up a birthday cake from Little Stir for a family member who’s a huge South Park fan, and it turned out absolutely perfect. We ordered a $6 South Park character figurine set from Amazon and dropped it off at the bakery with some ideas. The team was super friendly and totally on board with our vision.
We chose a buttercream icing with a white cake base and went with a smaller circle cake meant for 4–6 people—which was the perfect size. I hate when there’s way too much leftover cake, but this one had just enough to enjoy without waste.
The icing was the real showstopper. I’ve had a lot of cakes in my life, and hands down, this is the best icing I’ve ever tasted. Everyone at my work had been hyping up Little Stir, and now I see why—it deserves every bit of praise.
The staff was incredibly easy to work with. I had a few specific details I wanted to include, and they were great about communicating and bringing it all to life. Pro tip: search Pinterest for cake ideas! We sent them four different reference photos with ideas for lettering, color, decorations, and overall vibe, and they blended everything beautifully into one perfect custom cake.
Amazing service. Amazing staff. Great price.
Not overpriced at all like you might expect from a custom cake shop. This is now my go-to bakery. Highly recommend! Will 100% be returning.

There are no better cakes than the ones that come from The Little Stirr. My girlie turning 3 wanted a PINK cake. It was strawberry and pink on the inside, pink on the outside and topped with sprinkles. She was one happy girl and it was delicious 🎂

Your shop is amazing! I've been a customer since you were at your location on Southside Parkersburg, through now in Vienna. 20 years ago I had you do a baby shower cake for my sister, that baby is 19 now and he recently joined the Air Force. I have had a few of your cakes for my son's birthdays when he was younger, he's now 25. About 2 years ago I had you do a cake and cupcakes for my niece's gender reveal, I came in with an idea and you knocked it out of the park! Thank you for years of service and being such a wonderful local small business, I ALWAYS recommend you when a friend asks about cakes. Good luck, your work speaks for itself, your cakes are delicious, hands down the best around. Here is one of your delicious cakes you have done for my family.

Amazing customer service & AMAZING cake. The taste and appearance were phenomenal.
I ordered a custom cake to take to Ohio for my daughter’s birthday, not only was the decoration spot on but the taste of this cake left guests wanting more. It got rave reviews. Moist and delicious! I highly recommend this bakery!
