Absolutely, hands down, THE BEST wine tasting experience we have ever had. We were treated to wonderful stories and rich history while we enjoyed a tasting catered to each of our personal tastes. We ended up leaving with two bottles of delicious wine and we are so excited to share them with our loved ones when we get home. We will definitely be returning during our next trip to the area!
I loved my first visit to Wine Tree ...I arrived very soon after they opened in the morning, so I got a nice, quiet corner to sit, sample wines, and read. I only like dry wines, and they have a lot to offer in that category. I chose the six tastings and it was a difficult choice because they have more than six dry wines. I loved what I got ...I especially loved both the Sauvignon Blanc and the Cabernet Sauvignon. I enjoyed the cheese, crackers, and olives dish along with my tastings. Just a lovely space ...sweet dog, very kind owners, great wine, plenty of parking, easy to find ...highly recommended!
Local small mom and pop winery, all made in house. They provided excellent customer service, the owner is very personable and passionate.
We did the personal sampling, and enjoyed every single sip. Even got the back ground and history on the location. Would highly recommend.
Incredible food, wine, and conversation. The ambiance was lovely as well with art, wood, and ironwork. Dry wine afficiado well satisfied with wine selection at tasting. Highly recommend both the Tuxedo and the Traminette, among others. Dined on homemade soups, nachos, and flatbread.
Absolutely incredible experience. You can tell how much the owners love wine and building their business.
My friend and I got the 1.5oz wine flights and every single wine I tried was so divine. I’ve been to plenty of wineries and I gotta say, this winery has changed my perspective on sweet wines.
10/10 recommend doing the wine tasting and flights.
We were very disappointed to find that at 11:15 on a Saturday afternoon they were closed. We called and no one answered the phone and there was no voicemail. We traveled all the way from Wayne County Ohio.
Wow! This place was great! From the wines to the owners. Their knowledge is impressive and they know how to tell their story and keep you interested all while enjoying your tasting. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. They have a beautiful dog, Cooper, who is super friendly. I'm glad I found this in my Google search for places to visit in Parkersburg. I would come here again! Absolutely enjoyed my visit!
If you are passing through or are visiting the area you must stop here. Craig and Candy are great people who love what they do and it shows. Craig gave me a tour of his wines during the wine tasting and really impressed me with his knowledge and skill. He also converted me to his red wine because I am not normally a red wine person. But his I would drink the bottle on my own. He is a talented craftsman of his work and his wife Candy is a talented chef and baker with her menu items. You may be greeted upon arrival by a barking doggo- don’t worry he’s part of the staff. That’s Cooper and he’s a big old sweetie. He helped us park and lead us into the winery. He got hopeful when we ordered food, but his Mom said no food with his sensitive tummy in his old age even though he tries hard with the puppy dog eyes don’t give in ? the wine, the food, the atmosphere, you can’t go wrong. We had the best time!
They have some yummy wines and very passionate owners. Definitely worth a visit!
Every single one of their wines are extremely high quality. Can confirm as I did the 'around the world' tasting of his varieties of European and American grape wines. I learned more in that one tasting than in HUNDREDS of hours of youtube videos. Want to say thank you again to the owner for all the information! And also, if you see it, the raspberry chocolate wine is worth grabbing several bottles for your personal collection. Clean, smooth, chocolatey with a berry aftertaste.
On a side note, I will find the most delicious resiling in the state. (Bucket List) So far Wine Tree has taken the golden crown.
Final Side note: The Chocolate Chip Cookies. Go. Do. (You wont be sorry you did.)
