My family and my parents were just in the area yesterday and had the most delightful experience at Mack’s Bingo. I have 4 young kids and it was pretty late and my little ones were hangry. We accidentally happened upon the beautiful space and people at this restaurant and I was seriously wowed. The hospitality and genuine embrace from Jason and the staff was unmatched. The food was incredible!! You have to try the fired peppers- I don’t even love peppers, but these were to die for! Even my 9 and 11 year old loved them! Jason was so aware and gracious with the chaos of my 2 toddlers and met their needs with swift generosity and grace. Honestly, I was blown away and we all cannot wait to return soon! Thank you Mack’s for your service and hospitality to the Wardensville community!

One of my pet peeves with a place that focuses on selling burgers and hotdogs is when they have a very limited selection of preselected toppings. I know what I like on burger. And everyone has their own pet burger they think the world should try. Okay, offer your pet burger and tell us how great it is and then let the customer get what he wants on the burger. Same with hotdogs. Portillo's in Chicago has a GREAT dog, but they'll still let you get a hotdog anyway you like.
Yes ... some people love mayonaise. Some people, like me, despise mayonaise. If mayo is your thing, you'll have plenty of options. If not, suck it, loser.
Setting that aside, the patty looked really small, especially in a GIANT brioche bun. Although the patty looked small, I had a hard time finishing it because it was quite filling. Both the burger and the potatoes were too salty. I didn't hate it, but I've had much better burgers.
Our waitress was pleasant but just as pregnant as pregnant gets. I always hate when my waitress is that pregnant because I feel like I should be serving her. I know people need to work and people need money, so I guess that issue is my own.
The building and atmosphere were very nice. I liked the fire in the fireplace, but didn't understand what it was there for. It was nearly 90F outside and the AC was on full blast. I didn't see any options on the menu that were cooked over flame, so I guess it was just for looks. And speaking of looks, the place looked great.

My husband and I stopped here last night on our way through Wardensville back to DC. What a lovely surprise!
The building is gorgeous. We sat at the bar in front of the wood-fire for a casual and delicious dinner. The menu is small but solid: we had the burger, the Sunday fried chicken dinner, and the beet appetizer. For dessert, we split the homemade strawberry sorbet and buttermilk ice cream. So good! And the fried chicken dinner included three HUGE pieces of chicken.
The prices include tip, and we found them to be very reasonable. It's great to have a place like this that we can look forward to stopping at on our way through town.

Where to start, the whole experience was stellar. The food was top tier, the creativity and fresh ingredients shine through. The service was amazing. The staff was so professional. The chef chatted with us about food and flavors while we had the best seat watching it all be plated. The drink were local ciders and IPAs (as well as a full bar). We are going to make this a monthly date night to explore the ever changing menu.

They have by far spoiled us. The limited menu is unlimited in taste, the entire staff is kind and bring a warm and fuzziness you can’t find else where. Not to mention their Hush Puppies are unhushable!
