Stopped in here to eat last night and was pleasantly surprised. It has a great atmosphere and the food tasted great. Looking forward to coming back again.

First off, I like their chili well enough to buy it in the supermarket container. It’s not my favorite, but for store-bought it’s solid. The fries were also good. That said, I was really disappointed in the hotdogs. The wiener itself tasted like the cheapest option available, as if it had been sitting in hot water all day, and it turned to mush when I bit into it. The bun didn’t help either—it was nearly soggy from the chili (which there wasn’t much of to begin with). Using a higher-quality wiener and bun, and packaging it in a way that prevents sogginess, would make a huge difference. As it stands, it’s far too expensive for the quality. For a place that’s supposed to be known for their hotdogs, this was extremely disappointing.

Title: Loyal customer here—kudos to the young pro, but please don’t handcuff him I’ve been a Webster Springs Custard Stand regular since the hairpin-curve days outside town, long before the Shark Tank spotlight. Visit was Labor Day weekend, Sunday 8/31/25, ~11:45 a.m. Hot dog hit the spot. I came back (no line) for the soft-serve cone I’d planned to have after lunch. Looked like an early pull from the machine: not quite cold, a bit lumpy and slumped, and short of the usual height. The young employee who fixed my cone was terrific—he apologized, offered me a cup in case it toppled, and (trying to make it right) politely asked the cashier/manager if he could add a little more to make up for the short fill. The cashier/manager didn’t say a word—just a silent finger-wag “no.” He deferred, and I walked away with a sub-par cone and the sense that good customer service had just been vetoed. Credit where it’s due: that young team member showed initiative, pride in work, and real customer care. Opportunity for management: empower your crew to fix small misses on the spot—especially with early soft-serve pulls—so the experience matches the reputation you’ve built. I’ve been happy here for years and will be back; a little coaching at the register would turn moments like this into wins. —A loyal customer

Staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating! Best chili dogs I've ever had! Also ordered an ice cream float with orange soda and it was fantastic! Custard is well above expectations!

Didn't even get my order right. Expected better for the price we paid.

Always wonderful folks inside! Always great food for great prices. A must visit for our yearly Webster Springs trip!

The food was great, the atmosphere would have been great too if the druggies wasn't around causing issues. Had a woman come in talking to herself and bothering costumers coming to their tables. We waited almost 30 minutes for our food just for it to be wrong then had to wait another 10 minutes for them to fix it. Other than that the food was good. The cheeseburger was delicious and the chili was top notch. My milkshake tho I got a chocolate one and you couldn't taste it

Boast about sauce but hardly any on the hot dog. A McDonald's in town would put it out of business, sad to say.
