Stopped in while visiting Wheeling on a Saturday afternoon in August. Had a slice of blueberry cheesecake for $5. It was really good. The gentleman behind the counter was very personable. A woman was busy making desserts next to him. Seems like things are homemade and made with care. The cookies also looked really good and were reasonably priced, though I didn't have the chance to try them. I'll definitely go back to sample other things from this bakery next time in in town. It's a nice area to walk around in, too.

First time eating at this place. Associate was very friendly and helpful. We got 3 fruit pies. I ate mine for brekkie yesterday and it was probably THE best fried pie I have EVER had.....beating name brand ones. I will DEFINITELY come back. (to try other things and buy MORE PIES).

We came in traveling from Illinois to Maryland and stopped here. I've never been here, so I picked out a chocolate dumpling looking Boston cream. It was the best Boston cream I've ever had! It's possibly the best pastry I've had! Oh, it was so good, i didn't want it to end. I wish I bought more, but I didn't know if it been too sweet or not to my liking. I hope one day I get to have another one since I live in Texas.

The fried pies are out of this world. From the dough to the fillings everything was simply the best. Couldnāt decide so I got one of each. Coconut Cream was my favorite. Canāt wait to go back and have another.

As I was walking through Center Market, my eyes couldn't help but be caught by the delicious looking desserts at American Pies & Pastries. The woman working there was extremely nice and gave great service. I decided to get the salted caramel brownie, and a boston creme pie, and they were both just as good as they looked. I recommend giving this place a shot if you haven't yet ?
