Great, interesting atmosphere - went here because of too long of a wait at River City and wasn't disappointed. Little bit pricey, but great crowd and overall, worth it. I'll be back here again.

Fantastic spot, very cool atmosphere. View of the river and park, and outside seating. Great menu, food was faster than expected and it was great! The staff are also top notch! Helpful and friendly. Great spot to check out for a bite and a drink, they even have some Cannabis infused drinks that are also good.

I got the poutine burger, and it was delicious. The fries were fresh cut and crispy, not one bit soggy. The cupcakes were a bit boring for 4 bucks a piece but tasted fine. It's an open area atmosphere and kind of loud at times but not bad. I'll definitely be going back.

This may have been the best hamburger I have ever had in the Ohio Valley. One may wonder, just how goodcDan a burger be? This place answers that. But the gravy for the French fries was even more amazing. Seems like simple foods but they take it to a new level.
Beautiful building and atmosphere. I ordered the Caprese chicken salad and my husband ordered the poutine burger. You order your drinks and food separately. And pick up your drinks at the bar. Then they bring your food out to you. The food was decent we both felt that the dishes were lacking flavor though. Overall a decent spot.

If you come to Wheeling forget anywhere you thought you were gonna eat at and come to Avenue Eats. I was floored my first time dining here.
I ordered the gouda burger with fries, a cappuccino, and two mixed drinks: the Zen Garden(spirit-free) as well as the Kokomo.
I don't know if I've ever had a burger at a restaurant like the gouda burger from Avenue Eats. Everything from the patty to the spinach was delicious. The patty itself was cooked perfectly medium-rare and was fresh and juicy. Its one of those things you just have to have one to understand. It tasted like homemade.
The fries here, crispy and potayoey - is that a word? It is now! I had to pick every piece of crisp off my plate they were so good.
As for the drinks, the coffee beans are locally roasted from Tacet Coffee here in Wheeling. Lovely foamy milk. Yum!
The Zen Garden stays true to its name - very minty and refreshing. The yuzu was a surprising and much appreciated addition to the drink and really helped bring all of the flavors together. Each sip felt blissful. The Kokomo was just as good. Very pina colado vibes and tropical.
The restaurant is a half of the Waterfront Hall, an event space/music venue and overall intimate. I have not seen a show here but I imagine it would be amazing as a love smaller venues. The whole space has a rustic decor.
Other details: This food place is seat yourself, you order your food at the food counter and they will serve the food to your table. You will also order any beverages you want from the bar. It is also wheel-chair accessible!!

I took my family of four there after a friend recommended. Usually, when we go out to dinner at least one meal isn’t that good. I was amazed that everything was absolutely amazing. The steakhouse burger I ordered was hands down the best burger I’ve ever eaten. The poutine was great, the pretzel sticks with beer cheese was sublime. My wife and 17 year old daughter ordered chicken sandwiches and they raised the bar on chicken sandwiches. The salad was great. My younger daughter (picky eater) ordered a pizza from The 304 Wood Fired Pizza, it was the best pizza I’ve had in the Ohio Valley.
In conclusion, this place is one of the best restaurants, if not the best restaurant in Wheeling. Definitely going to be a regular there. I’d have to give it a 15 out of 10 rating.
