We had a surprise party for a dear friend at the Char House. I would give the experience a 10 out of 10! They took care of care of us very well. Carla, our waitress made sure everything was just right. The food was excellent

It was relatively packed for a Tuesday evening and would recommend putting in a reservation. Delicious appetizers and salmon!

The food was good, didn’t realize it was breakfast with Santa. The wait staff was really slow to take our order after the breakfast rush left. It must have been the owner with a white sweater and deer antlers that blocking the aisle and forsably said excuse me. She was in the way. We will never return due to the rudeness of the woman and we had to ask the bartender for more drinks as our waitress was MIA. This isn’t how you treat people

Overpriced steaks for little to no pay off. Portion size tiny for the sides. All steaks average about $70 and not told what Market Price is till bill.

Goto a nice steak house if you are going for steak as it would be the same cost.

We came for our anniversary dinner and brought our daughter. Not our first time here. I’m not a super fan of the dark atmosphere, particularly because I have a hard time reading the menu, but I don’t dock any stars for that. It’s a personal preference. I ordered the grilled salmon and substituted the veggie for a side salad. My husband ordered the steak with crab and hollandaise. My daughter ordered a cheeseburger and side of white Mac n cheese. There were only two other tables but it took a while for our entrees to come out. My husband and daughter received theirs. I had to wait another ten minutes. When I received the grilled salmon, it was presented over a bed of rice and looked and smelled amazing. I cut into it, however, and realized the outer skin was charred and the middle was bright dark pink and slimy. The waitress didn’t check on us for quite a while and when she finally did, she noticed the plate sitting on the side of the table and asked if I’d like to send it back to be cooked longer. I said no thank you, it’s raw in the middle and crispy on the outside, and my husband and daughter were already halfway done finishing their meals, so I really didn’t have time to wait for them to start over. My husband’s steak was laying in a soggy bed of mashed potatoes soaked with the blood from the steak, and topped with a lumpy mass of cut crab and a hollandaise sauce that was much too thick and lumpy. My daughter was happy with the cheeseburger and side of Mac. When the bill came, even after they removed my salmon entree charge, it was still over $150. My recommendation is that if you’re going to charge that much… make sure the food is worth it.

This was our first time here. We're visiting from Wisconsin. Service was excellent! Our server was very nice and very attentive. The food was very good. I wish I could give half points because I feel like it should be 4.5 for the food. I docked it just a little because the side salad portion was really small, but very tasty. Ambiance was fantastic. This place would be great for a date night but also works for families. Really cute shirts for sale as well as some other decor. We picked up a WV shirt! Overall a great restaurant!

We had reservations at noon and there were only two table already there. While we were called and advised that there would not be brunch, we were not notified there would not be any pizza. After 1.5 hours and a couple of complaints half our table got their food but myself and the other birthday girl waited another 10ish minutes. The food was not hot and only ok on flavor. Very disappointed for my first visit and birthday lunch.

Service was great food was mediocre for the prices.
The food is sub par and extremely overpriced make sure to ask for the MP on the steaks. I paid $51 for a terrible NY strip steak that was bland and very thin plus the mashed potatoes were flavorless. At least the waitress was good but I will never be back.

Great food!!! But do NOT order dessert. I paid $12 a piece for 2 pieces of this peanut butter pie and it’s tiny as can be. I thought I would get my moneys worth for the pie but no.But the wood fire pizzas are awesome. The service and waitresses are very polite but do NOT recommend getting the peanut butter pie for how much they charge for it.

Lighting is to low for my liking. Had 2 different pizza's. Both were great. Wife had crab cakes. Not that great. This was the second time there. First time had a burger that wasn't done sent it back. Came back still not done. Didn't have any hope in giving them another chance until my friend said the pizza was good. So trying the pizza changed my mind about the char house. Unique pizzas that are great.
