UPDATE: I contacted the owner today and explained what happened. The owner apologized several times and assured me that is not the way they treat their customers. The fact that the owner immediately returned my call and not only took the time to hear my complaint, but also actually listened, tells me all I need to know. Original Review: I have been eating at Coleman's Fish Market my entire life. It's one of my favorite places to eat. With that being said, today I was stunned. Yesterday I drove to the fish market. I live an hour away. I received my order at 2:50 p.m. I made a few stops on my way home and arrived home around 5:00. I unpacked my fish order for dinner and saw the 7 packets of tartar sauce I ordered and paid for were missing. Things happen, no big deal. I then packed the food back up and put it in the refrigerator and made a frozen pizza until I could get tartar sauce. At 5:40 last night I called the fish market to let them know what happened. There was no answer, so I assumed they were busy or closed. Today I decided to make the hour drive again to get the tartar packets. I live an hour from Walmart as well, so figured I would go get the ones from Coleman's that I didn't get yesterday as I wanted to eat my Coleman's Fish from yesterday. When I walked in, I motioned for a gentleman behind the counter and explained what happened. I handed him my receipt. I expected he would just hand me the 7 tartar packets ($1.40). He immediately became completely irritated. He kept saying "did you phone it in"? I wasn't sure what he meant. I told him I placed my order at the counter yesterday and picked it up. I pointed out the gentleman that took my order and the one that I paid for my order. The way he was acting any other female would have cried and left. He then went and consulted with three ladies. Yes, consulted over $1.40 tartar packets on a $63.60 order from yesterday in which he had the receipt I handed him. I said I don't understand what the problem is. He said to me, "you have to call it in so we can put it in the book because we don't know if you're lying". Seriously? I understand policies, but I had my receipt from yesterday and did try to call. I even pointed out the two gentlemen that handled my order yesterday. I explained again it was 2 hours round trip yesterday and today and I wasnt aware the tartar was missing until 5:00 and did try to call. He acted and spoke completely in an unacceptable manner given the very small situatuon. He finally gave me the tartar packets after trying to embarrass me and belittle me, as well as treating me like a tartar packet thief lol. No apology for my trouble or sorry this happened. He was clearly convinced that I created the problem by not being in "the book". If anyone should have been upset it should have been me. I can see if I said I was missing the five fish sandwiches, or the egg rolls, or the devil crabs, but seriously, trying to steal tartar sauce. Get a grip and try to be nice!

Have not been here since 2010 (I live in WV, but am rarely in Wheeling). Friendly staff, fast service, fresh food (well the fries were kinda luke warm but they were not mine) I had a fish sammie, o rings and clams. It was like being at the beach minus the sand. Recommended.

The fish was delicious and if you get a chance try their broccoli 🥦 cheddar cheese 🧀 soup. I highly recommend them.

Excellent steamed and fried fish. We had the Shrimp and the Canadian White, both are recommended. There is also a nice market with multiple shops. Parking is easy to find.

Bad day to go over half the menu was unavailable basically all they had was fish sticks and crab cakes everything was not available not sure what was going on and they weren't friendly enough to tell
Have previously visited this seafood restaurant over the past 15 years. Unfortunately my recent Saturday visit was not up to prior good experiences.
The availability of fresh on the ice in the display case was very limited. Some cans of crab meat but I can buy those where I live so nothing exceptional.
Seems many at the counter to eat there items were not available. Steamer broken per sign. Had a crab cake sandwich…..expected to be transported back to my Annapolis days eating crab. Not the case.
Choice of gator or stuffed pepper soup. Have had and relished the gator soup before. Tried the hmmmmmm good stuffed pepper soup.
Coleman’s is a treat when passing the area on interstate 70.

Terrible cashiers and check out system. Go wait in line to be told to wait in another line to place order, then as soon as we start to order they tell us we need to go to another into another line. Someone just take the dang orders.
