Great food, great service and a ringside seat for a fabulous fireworks display as part of Oglebayfest! The wait staff was terrific, we loved the shrimp and grits, and the outdoor patio was perfect. So far, best restaurant at the Oglebay resort. We'll be back.

Was there for my birthday and had a great meal. Server even brought me a dessert with a candle on it. They were not very busy which probably helped with the great service we had. I would highly recommend this place. It has outdoor seating which would be the best for the views but is weather dependent.

Where to start! Every part of Oglebay is amazing. Stayed in 2 rooms and house keeping did professional work. Every place we went to was clean and very well managed. The only issue that was had there was some others staying and the staff handled it properly. All around recommend! So much to see and enjoy :)

I went there for a conference through work. Which is paid for by my employer. They asked me for a card to keep on file incase there were damages or I charged something to the room. I thought it was shady since they did not ask everyone in our group and it was being paid for by my employer but I did it. When it's time to check out they charged my debit card for the room instead of my employers card. So right there I lost 425.00 from my account and another girl with me had no money left in her checking account and she had a long drive home. So after some arguing they say they will credit our cards back but it will take a few days. I go back to my conference and the bank sends me a notification saying I have a double charge. I check my statement and they BILLED me again instead of refunding my money!!!! I talked to a Leslee and she said she did it on accident but she canceled it. So I had to contact my bank and file a complaint because I have still not received my money back. I feel like they literally stole 850.00 out of my account. They didn't seem very apologetic about it at all and I have bills to pay. I will take legal action if I have to. Everyone should watch their cards when they go there.

We really enjoyed our experience at the Garden Bistro. We were celebrating our anniversary. As we were staying at the Oglebay resort, we strolled by the Bistro early in the afternoon, and were greeted by a young, male waiter. We I formed him that we had 7 pm reservations and wished to dine outside instead of inside. When we arrived for dinner, a table was already prepared for us outside. The waiter could not have done a finer job and the manager made all the guests feel welcome and ensured that all their needs were met. The food was excellent, especially the dessert. Thank you Garden Bistro for the perfect anniversary dining experience!
The Garden Bistro is one of the Top 3 restaurants in Wheeling. It is a hidden gem with an unmatched view from your table. The food is always fresh and consistent. The servers are always pleasant, professional and knowledgeable.

Amazing vacation. We had our family reunion here. We stayed lakeside Wilson lodge. Room was spacious, clean and quiet. Staff was helpful and friendly. Restaurants were exceptional. We fed a cheetah and went into lemur exhibit at the Good Zoo. The 3 day wristband is worth it. My son had a blast with all the activities. My husband rented E-bike and did Segway tour. We rented out the Hess Shelter for the picnic. It was perfect.it was huge, had a grill, fireplace, electric, and a kitchen. Bathrooms were right on the side and close to mini golf, basketball court, Arial course, rock climbing & playgound. The lake is just a quick walk away and on the trolly stop . I highly recommend this place . We may go back yearly

The Garden Bistro is a must try! The cucumber gaspacho, scallops, crab cakes and flatbread of the day (andouille sausage and peppers) were absolutely outstanding! Daily sangria (fruit and berry) special was also excellent! Outdoor dining there is lovely!

The Bistro is in a beautiful setting and the servers are all very friendly. The menu is very limited and a bit overpriced. We ate there twice in one week, I had tomatoes & burrata, and crab cakes on Monday. Both were absolutely delicious. On Weds., we ordered those two things again and they were different. The bread with the burrata was not as good and there was a different sauce on the crab cakes - neither as good as Monday. So consistency is lacking. We love the atmosphere there and enjoy the service and most of the food, we just wish the menu was more extensive (perhaps a pasta) and prices were a bit more reasonable. But we will return!

1) upon arrival we informed the host of a special birthday for my dad who turned 92 and our sever Maddy made it first protocol to recognize his birthday. 2) The appetizer of the hard cheese tray was timely and a big hit. 3) The scallops my dad order were outstanding and so were the filet mignon my husband and I both had was to perfection. We finished with two sorbets and vanilla crepe cake. Overall an outstanding meal, atmosphere and staff!

We enjoyed the dinner on a perfect evening! Service was excellent, some menu items were added since last year. Soup and grilled zucchini with dip so delicious, and my friends were happy with their meals too. So happy that The Bistro is open all week now. We'll be back!

Oglebay is beautiful is a perfect backdrop. The food was good. Especially loved the chilled soup. It is pricey. You pay for the location, but it was a great date night with my hubby.

Great view of the Oglebay gardens and amphitheatre. Our waitress was great but the host that seated us had literally no expression in his tone or on his face the entire 2 hours we were there. My friend and I got an Asian inspired salmon sandwich with house chips. Her companion had the burger and potato pancake and her son had sea scallops. All the food was fantastic.
