I loved their food and service from years past, but I have noticed a change in the quality and service. When I called my order in, I made sure to go over it. The person taking your order couldn't give me a total so I doubt that she even was near a computer or wrote down my order. I ordered the Lemonicello Chicken.
The chicken given was very little, they forgot my side plus I also explicitly asked for ranch for the onion rings which is high for the amount I was given.

Great food, service and a cool atmosphere. I like how the bar area is separate from the dining area. The patio was nice too. With many TVs, it's a good place to watch sports. The menu had a plethora of choices from pizza, pub grub, seafood, many salad choices (I recommend the basil vinaigrette) and great steaks! Definitely my new go to spot when visiting Wheeling.
Service was excellent, food was horrible, meatballs were defiantly a warm up deal from God knows when, Speghetti was cold, my daughter had the meat lasagna, pepperoni tasted rancid, we did not eat our food just paid the bill and left an 11.00 tip for the waitress, wasn’t that girls fault! Plan on calling the board of health because my daughter and I were both nauseous after we left. My son in law liked his lamb gyros, but stated he’d had better. 75.00 wasted in my book!

Alpha Tavern is a neighborhood gem known for its fabulous pulled pork sandwiches and amazing service. Their Mother's Day brunch was spectacular, with awesome and tasty food. The ribs with mac n cheese and beans were surprisingly very good. In addition to their incredible wings, Alpha Tavern offers a diverse menu that now includes dishes like sirloin steak, feta ravioli, and a unique cheeseburger salad. This spot in Wheeling is perfect for drinks and a bite to eat, especially on a nice day when guests can enjoy the outdoor seating and live music. The friendly staff enhances the atmosphere, making it a place that many want to return to.
