“Food is fairly priced, good portion size, and for Chinese takeout is better than most other similar style restaurants close by. It’s not the best Asian food you will ever eat, but it’s not bad either. Perfect for when you want takeout, but not fast food and don’t want to spend a fortune.”

“Egg roll sampler - incredibly creative idea, expertly delivered. Really enjoyed three of the rolls, other did a great job being exactly as described. BBQ (pork) is super tasty. Spicy is really good, doesn’t pack much spice punch though. Cheeseburger wasn’t our favorite, but it is an extremely effective delivery of a cheeseburger as an egg roll (which turns out isn’t our personal preference). Best for last, the reuben - best reuben we’ve had in the state of WV and it was in egg roll form. Will try to return to get the actual reuben sandwich.Hiroshima - very interesting dish, really enjoyed the ball of rice. Just the right amount of crunchiness. Broccoli and chicken are done just right. I got it “spicy,” and it wasn’t (in my opinion). Waitress got more spice for me super quickly. Really appreciated the flavor after the addition of more spice.Crispy Chicken Melt with onion rings - good taste, all seemed a touch over cooked. Still enjoyed it though.Incredible wait staff, very attentive and very busy keeping everything clean.It got a bit loud from casual conversations at other tables, not enough to dampen our experience.”

The setting pulls you in to seek out every corner with the interesting wares they sell. I couldn't help but pick out a beautiful pair of locally handcrafted silver earrings! “My dad brought me here as I’ve never been. Car service only. Ordered 6 pack of hot dogs with chili slaw. It was good. I feel like all of these places are starting to taste the same. Not one of them yet has stood out from other hot dog joints around WV. The search will continue. Also ordered crinkle cut fries. Seemed to be slightly undercooked but slightly browned so I think the fryer just needed adjustment. They do have some really good Root Beer though and the tiny good ice. I feel like they should have a board or something with their menu in the window or something.”

“Cannot say enough amazing things about this resturant. Prices are more than reasonable. You can get a full large meal under $10 with a drink chips and salsa, which is rare nowadays. It is always, always delicious. The staff are friendly and work hard. Always so nice over the phone. Never forget anything out of my order and I go there a LOT. Love this place. “Easter Sunday and the store was very busy! Our party of four started with an appetizer from the Barrel Bites, Loaded Steak Fries, and it was delicious! My 94 year old mother-in-law ordered the grilled chicken tenders with mashed potatoes and brown gravy, corn and baby carrots. As usual, she ate half and took the other half home for lunch this week. Both the tenders and carrots were truly tender and all was well prepared. My wife had the Homestyle Fried Chicken BLT sandwich (no tomato for her). She too cut it in half for a later lunch this week and enjoyed her favorite hash brown casserole as a side. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the dumplings meal and shared a few with grandma who loves them also. I had the sampler and opted for Sunday Chicken (available daily but I still call it Sunday Chicken) and dumplings with pinto beans (add onion AND chow-chow) and turnip greens (add apple cider vinegar) and biscuits and cornbread (for one) and Grilled Sourdough Toast (for two). We definitely plan to return to the Cross Lanes, WV Store very soon, especially since we moved nearby a few months ago and found this location to be a gem.Wheelchair accessibility: My 94 year old mother-in-law has a walker that she pushes (and sometimes rides as my wife pushes her) and the entrance was easily accessible to her.”
