I love Johnny J’s and if you haven’t had the pleasure of dining there, give them a try. I’ve ordered food from there for over 20 years and today I ordered egg Salad sandwich on rye with no lettuce and a side of cottage cheese. I cannot eat lettuce and typically order the chips or cottage cheese. Amanda, who took my order, brought out my to go order and there was coleslaw, which again I cannot digest. Instead of her saying ‘no problem’ and exchanging it with cottage cheese she insisted that I ordered incorrectly. I said wouldn’t happen because of my issues with lettuce/coleslaw and she said “ well there it is right there on the call in “. So rather than her accepting the fact that she made the mistake, she tried to make me feel like I did which I did not appreciate. Pat, I just needed to bring this to your attention, which will not effect my relationship with your store, because the arrogance portrayed here contributed to a very negative customer interaction.

In past visits I was happy with my food, but this time not so much. I ordered the pot roast and it was dry, seemed old, and wasn't seasoned. The mashed potatoes were just potato. The gravy was lacking seasoning and smelled off.. My side salad was good, and my waitress was friendly and patient.

This is the BEST restaurant in town. Just look at the parking lot, always full. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reasonable prices and great waitresses. They have large booths and can pull tables together for large family get togethers. Huevos rancheros scrambled eggs 🥚 is my wife and my favorite breakfast 😋 😍. We split about order for the perfect meal portion for us old people 😉.

Food was mediocre. My shake was melted, All of the fixings were in the bottom. Overall the place is dirty. We keep giving this place a chance and every time we end up disappointed.
