We went to the The Albany for lunch, something I haven't done for many years. I've gone for dinner and haven't been too impressed but I have to say, lunch was awesome. I had the Portobello Sandwich with Coleslaw and my partner had the Grown Up Grilled Cheese and Coleslaw. Service was prompt and friendly and the atmosphere was so genuine and warm. My partner and I agreed the Coleslaw was the best we've had anywhere. It was real Coleslaw. Not soggy and not over seasoned with salt and other spices. The Portobello Sandwich was great. A big meatly slice of grilled Portobello with cheese on Sourdough. It wasn't greasy although the bread didn't hold up too well because it was juicy. Not a bad problem to have! My partner said his Grown Up Grilled Cheese was great. I am very impressed because I love supporting the historical restaurants of Cheyenne. We will definitely be back to sample other dishes! Oh, and the entertainment we had from the men behind us who discussed the sex toys found in one of their rental properties was priceless.

This used to be the best place to get prime rib. The past couple of times I've been there the food has been lack-luster. Steak temperatures were way off. Some of the other food in my party was brought out cold. The service was good and so were the other aspects of the restaurant.
