Really understandable why they refused my money because their food is disgusting
We had high hopes based on the reviews, but overall the experience fell short. The calamari had an odd texture and we ended up returning it. I ordered the half rotisserie chicken with mushrooms, but it came without mushrooms. My wife wasn’t a fan of her pasta, my kid didn’t finish his burger. The only standout item for me was the truffle fries—they were excellent. Unfortunately, one good side dish didn’t make up for the rest. The service was good
Wow! What a great restaurant. The Metropolitan has a great open atmosphere yet it was quaint, which made for a very pleasurable dining experience. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and she had a great sense of humor. The food was fresh, hot, and very tasty. I will definitely come back the next time I'm in town. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Thanks.
RANT!
That’s it. I can’t give The Met another chance.
Went in Sunday to have brunch. Greeted and seated quickly, order taken and drinks delivered, all within 5 minutes. This was at 11:45. We left about 55 minutes later. No food ever even got prepared for us. Asked what the hold up was and were told, “big party is almost done”. This “big party” was no more than 10. All had their food already. There were 3 of us. Eggs, pancakes, soup and a salad were all we ordered. We paid for our drinks and went to another restaurant. Within 5 minutes, we were already sat, ordered and had drinks at Guadalajara. I used to be a server. I get things can get messed up. But this was just bad management. Either by the KP or AM of the shift. Absolutely NO sense of urgency by the kitchen (which everyone can see) or the server or manager we asked about the hold up. The biggest issue is, it’s nearly ALWAYS like this when I go there, which is why I have only gone there like 5 times. And today was the last…
And within 15 minutes of leaving The Metropolitan Downtown, I was eating my food from a busier restaurant…
i made reservations for prom with a group here and had never been before. i heard people talk highly about it so i decided to give it a try! they were super easy to make reservations with, especially for a big group when other places were booked up. they had us in a private room too which was lovely. my only complaint would be the waiting time. we ordered our food around 6:10 and didn’t receive the food until 7:50. our dance was at 8, so i was very glad to have made reservations ahead of time, but we got there pretty late. nonetheless our server was very nice. he kept our drinks refilled, brought out free fries, and brought out free desserts to our table while we waited, so i can’t complain too much! i would definitely come back in a smaller group because i know our group wasn’t the only one that had issues with waiting on food.
Friends made reservations for a group to celebrate their daughter graduating from UW. When we arrived we were told that they were just hit with a very large group. We were told that our orders would not be placed for at least a 1/2 hour from our reservation time. We were fine with the delay and were seated.
The wait staff (Jazlyn?) were friendly and attentive. We ordered drinks and appetizers which arrived in a timely manner. Our orders for the main course were taken at the time delay they told us.
Our table of three ordered the same meal, prime rib. One was ordered medium, while mine and my wife’s were ordered medium rare.
Our food arrived in a timely manner. When I cut into my prime rib it was not medium rare. It was well done. I figured they might have mixed it with the other order at the table. When all three of us cut into our prime rib they were all cooked to well done. The fingerlings and asparagus were spot on.
We ate our prime rib. It was tough and flavorless. To top it off, our table finished our meal before three in our group got their much more simple meal.
Ordered soup and received less than half a cup for over $9
Best Brussels sprouts in town
A very nice lunch get away in Downtown Cheyenne
Writing a review for this restaurant is a long time coming. I have eaten here at least 3 times before, but it's been so long ago that I couldn't really recall the experiences or the food. With that said, I ate here a few days ago, so I thought it was best that I write a review while the experience is still fresh in my head.

Food took 45 minutes or more to order, was not able to tell the wait staff as they never came back until food was served, and it was cold!!! Have you ever tried to eat cold eggs that should be hot? Again wait staff gone until time for check. Offered a 3.00 discount on a 50.00 bill.
Condiments were empty. Never ever visit again. Get it together people, Cheyenne has too many good restaurants and if you don’t step it up you won’t be around long.
The food was great but our server Cass really made the experience amazing!!
After a restaurant remodels, we used DDD Dumpster Rental, affordable, efficient, and super professional!
The only restaurant clean and worth of every penny , like 100 percent , good food , nice service , we come back Again
We rented from DDD for our small landscaping business, and their equipment made a huge difference.
The dumpster was in excellent condition, practically brand-new, and their team made sure it was delivered right on time.
