Unique 1914 soda fountain & restaurant with excellent milkshakes. Charming atmosphere. Very friendly. Kid friendly. An oasis in a wide open desolate area.

Good quality shakes, but very expensive. I go more often if it wasn't so expensive.

One of a handful of authentic WY eateries. Top notch cuisine. Unbeatable, exceptionally friendly service. Employees appear comfortable, professional and happy. Proprietor visits tables and displays high concern for patrons positive experience. Menu contains comprehensive and discerning variation for every palate, consisting of locally derived recipes using fresh tasting ingredients. Visited several times and always a treat. Chugwater Soda Fountain sits as a pillar of cowboy dining from a bygone era; a western cultural icon. Highly recommend - 6 of 5 stars.

This is the real deal! I loved everything about this place! The chocolate shake may be the best ever outside of my own. Hamburger was exactly what the doctor ordered. Really guys and gals you are doing a great job šŸ‘ šŸ‘ I bought lunch, bingo cards and juggling balls (stocking stuffers). Who new?! It was fabulous.

This was our first time here. The staff were really friendly and efficient. The food was great and the shakes and malts were really good too. We will be back when we come through Chugwater.

My family visited for the first time last month. It's a beautiful space run by very lovely, friendly folks. Unfortunately, we were disappointed and confused by a few aspects of our experience.

I ordered a BLT. The bread was remarkably tasty (my daughter ordered a grilled cheese with the same bread, she agreed) but the tomato was a paper-thin shaving of watery commodity fruit, which is pretty disappointing at the height of tomato season. The bacon wasn't just burnt, it was carbonized. I know I should have said something, but honestly the gentleman serving the dining room was so nice and soft-spoken, I felt too embarrassed to bring it up.

Since we were visiting the area, I decided to splurge and buy a few of their retail items. I picked up a bag of gummy candy, read the ingredients, and saw "woke free" was listed amongst sugar and flavoring.

Not wanting to fight with you folks, but out of a genuine desire to understand what you could possibly intend by selling a product featuring that kind of language... What do you all think "woke free" means?

My family (5 total) and a close friend spent several hours enjoying food and milkshakes. The staff were very friendly and inviting. The food was good and the milkshakes were excellent. This was not my first visit and won't likely be my last.

The wonderful lady behind the counter of the chili corporation sent us here to get a cup of chili. Upon first glance, it is for sure very "old-timey." The waitress was very nice and helpful (forgot to grab her name, but she had cool dyed hair). She answered all my questions and was very quick. Even if it was getting a tad busy for lunch service.
We had the Springboard sandwich with fries in addition to the chili we initially. It was absolutely devine. Had piled high with mortadella, cheese, and all your classic burger toppings. ~Almost~ better than the chili we came for initially. They're perfect in their own ways, though. We got so full of the sandwich that the chili had to go in the cooler while we drive back to North Dakota.
We look forward to coming back in the future as our lunch pit stop.

You can’t get a better chili burger in Wyoming. I’ve tried. This is hands down the best. Like if you don’t get one of these burgers you are missing out on one of life’s great experiences. Choose red or green chili. The flavored old fashioned sodas a wonderful.

Holy cow, this place is a TOTAL gem. Not a ton of vegetarian options, but the grilled cheese was AMAZING. Haven't had a malt this thick since I was a kid. Will definitely make an effort to stop whenever I'm nearby in the future, you should too!!
