I'm writing this a while after our visit. The service was incredible. Even with a couple of Karens demanding every bit of our waitress' attention with complaints and attitude. She gave us kindness and great service. The atmosphere is fun and cozy. Everything in Dubois has a western vibe, but the restaurant leans without being silly or over-the-top with it. I got the fried cod, and my wife got the ribeye. The food was delicious and filling. We took home lots of leftovers. The real treat is their pies. I got strawberry rhubarb (my favorite pie in general). My wife got the blueberry. Both were outstanding. This location is worth visiting for the pie alone.

We had 2 burgers with fries and 2 ice teas. Food was good but when we got the bill it was almost 50 dollars. I was shocked but thought it was Dubois, but we have eaten here for over 30 years. When I looked at the receipt again I thought it will be the last time. All i can say is check your receipt close and question buyer beware.

I've been hearing about the Cowboy Cafe for 20 years now since my husband used to come as a child. It did not disappoint. Great pie, great Rubens, great breakfast especially the corned beef hash. Ate there 3 times and can't wait to go back next time I'm in Dubois.

Nice small town cafe with an excellent menu selection and lots of pies and cheese cakes to choose from. This place was busy!

Every time we come up to the Tetons we plan our arrival and departure around getting breakfast at the Cowboy Cafe. The pancakes, French toast, BACON, eggs Benedict, game sausages, and sangria are all worth trying. If there's a line, don't worry because they are inside hustling their tails off to give you a great small town café experience. Hope you give it a try and enjoy it as much as we do.

When staying in Dubois on a road trip across the country, my wife and I found the Cowboy Cafe right beside the motel we were staying in. We decided to give it a shot and were not disappointed. Although they were quite busy when we arrived, the service was still fast and efficient. The food was the best part though! Portions were good, the flavour was out of this world and presentation was also nice. I especially loved their in-house made chips. Definitely recommend Cowboy Cafe and will visit again if I find myself in Dubois in the future :)
