Don't know why this place got such low reviews. Our service was stellar, the chips and salsa were great and kept coming and the portions are huge. The prices are a bit on the high side for Evanston but seeing as there are so few restaurants that are open on a Sunday, it was worth it. You could barely taste the alcohol in the margaritas however I can vouch that they do the job. :-) Take two bucks off the entrees and you get five stars, DP!

I just called to ask for some information since we are driving from Salt Lake City just to try this restaurant. A RUDE woman answered the phone and I couldn't hear her very well, she responded: we are very busy I don't have time for you and hung up. WOW, what great customer service.

We eat Mexican foods very frequently. Don Pedro’s is some of the best The mole was very well done; the huevos rancheros we’re excellent. Great chips. Marvelous salsa. Tasty margaritas. Highly recommend! Loved the staff, too.

We had a party of 6 people, getting the food was a little slow but they kept us refilled on drinks until it came! We got the big platter that they offer for $50 and it fed all of us to the point we are stuffed! Whenever we are in Evanston, we stop in for some dinner! Good Place to eat!!!

We are traveling through and we're pleasantly surprised at how great our dishes were. We had the mole enchiladas and the carne adobada. Both were flavorful and the carne adobada was tender and cooked perfectly.

My wife and I were passing through Evanston and found this place by an Internet search and had lunch there today, Jan 7, 2022. First off, you know a place is clean, when you notice how clean it is. The service was great, without being overbearing. And the food was sensational! In fact, I can't remember having a better Mexican meal in this country. I had a steak fajita burrito, and my wife had a chimichanga, and they were both delicious. We both availed ourselves of the restrooms before we left. They were sparking clean and even smelled nice. We live in the Salt Lake area and would literally drive back to Evanston to eat at Don Pedro's again.

We always stop at Jodis because it's right next to I80 but it was closed today. Don Pedro was only .3 miles farther and serendipitous. Despite being shorthanded today service was quick and friendly. Food was some of the best I've ever had. Salsa and guac were fresh, bean dip mot vegetarian and looks like soup but was quite tasty. Beef enchilada and tamale were delicious. Suspect tamales are made in house. This is our new lunch place in Evanston.

We were staying across town, but we'd read that Don Pedro's was good so we made the effort to drive over there...well worth it! Authentic Mexican cuisine, really nice venue with friendly and welcoming wait staff made dinner an excellent choice. If you are "in the area", Don Pedro's is definitely worth the drive.

Every trip to Evanston, we end up at Don Pedro's. This trip, I ended up having two meals from there! The second was in the form of large party trays brought to a family gathering. The restaurant has a large menu, though I typically get those "Americanized" items that are covered in cheese and sauce. They never disappoint. I've really been missing sit-down, dine-in service, so I enjoyed getting back to the familiar, comfortable dining room. Don Pedro's chips are crispy, the salsa is fresh and slightly chunky, and I - like so many others - rave about the creamy bean dip. My entree came hot with everything tasting great. My favorite was the tamale, with flavorful shredded pork and tender masa outside. A sample bite of the carne asada was delicious - juicy with lots of beefy flavor. The unexpected party trays the next day had a lot on them, all finger-food-sized. I enjoyed a couple of mini chimichangas, still crispy despite their cross-town trip. It's so comforting that Don Pedro's is always there when I go to Evanston.

One of the best house Margueritas I've even had. Also had chicken taco ala Carte. Very tender white meat chicken. No filler. Chips and salsa came with delicious bean dip. Friend had 2 chicken taco plate. He enjoyed it also. Very nice friendly people. About 4 people came by our table to greet us. The only negative was we ordered pico de Gallo with no jalapeños. But it came already mixed with the peppers and it was pretty spicy. But would highly recommend this as the place to eat when in Evanston WY.

We came here for lunch with our baseball team. Service was really good ... they accommodated our large party. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and the boys said the steak tacos were bussin'!!

Excellent staff, good portions and pretty quick. The food is standard Mexican fare, but good.
