Pleasantly surprised!! We moved here from CA, so I have had just about every style of Mexican you can imagine. So venturing out for Mexican food was a little worrying, having had some bad experiences. We had a great meal! Husband had an asada plate and I had a bowl of chicken tortilla soup. His Asada was tender, deliciously charred to perfection and he complimented the beans and rice (high praise). My chicken tortilla soup had broth similar to posole from CA. It had cheese in the soup and a big plate with avocado slices, a mountain of sour cream and tortilla chip slices. It was so good. I should have taken a picture but I was too hungry We will definitely be back. Service was fast and I felt like it was a family type operation, we were very well taken care of.

I was very skeptical of a place with Italian and Mexican food but this place has excellent Mexican food. We didn't try any of the pasta. My husband got a giant burrito and I had a combo plate. Flavors were good and there was a decent amount of food for lunch. Service was good.

Tried this place twice in a week. The chimichanga was decent minus the rice that was used as a filler. I have never experienced a chimichanga with rice in it. Not my favorite.Second time I tried the spicy pork mac-a-rito. This was an absolute mess. The pork was tasty but the entire dish was a sloppy mess. I would not recommend this at all. The service here was good although customers only need to be asked once how their meal tastes as opposed to 5 times in a 30 minute sitting. I understand that it is the establishment showing concern for the customer's satisfaction, but it can become bothersome when asked repeatedly.

The restaurant was clean, staff was attentive and nice and chimichangas were amazing tasting and huge. We had sopalillas for dessert. Highly recommend Armandos Taco and Pasta Shop!!!
