We did a quick visit to Mt. Rushmore on Friday morning. Getting there and parking was easy. The $5 senior discount was a plus.
We only spent around 30 minutes, but it was well worth the trip from Rapid City.
Be aware that pet dogs are not permitted very far in. We were able to bring our service dog all the way in.

I did not like the fact that you are no longer able to get your own soda at the McDonald's by Campbell county high school. Food was good hot and fresh ...fries are never good from this location taste old and stale .
