An actual sit-down restaurant with a diner like appeal!!! A great mixture of American and Mexican cuisine!! Fast, friendly, and relaxed service. They don't try to get you in and out. They want you to enjoy your meal.

The service was poor, the seats were uncomfortable, most of the food was cold or too greasy, Gordon Rasmey needs to do a Restaurant Nightmares episode on this place, it was that bad.

This place eis a gem. The huevos rancheros with green chili get me every time. The prices are great and the food is AMAZING. It feels like a hometown diner because it is. Must try.

We had a party of 5 and the waitress refused to seat us. We left and went to the Stagecoach. Had a wonderful meal there.

Monas is one of my favorite places to eat breakfast. Food is good excellent and prices are really good. Uppidy city folk probably don’t like it but who cares this is a down home outfit that the locals love.

When we went looking for a breakfast place and found Mona’s cafe we were not expecting Mexican food to also be served here. It was such a wonderful surprise. We’ve been traveling and have been disappointed several times with many breakfast locations. Mona’s was not a disappointment in the least!I ordered eggs and bacon with a side of chorizo and it was outstanding. The eggs were cooked perfectly. You’d think for a cafe that would be a standard craft but it seems lately a lot of places can’t get it right. This place nails it. The chorizo was actually chorizo. For being so far away from the South I was expecting something less, but this was not the case. The hash browns were also fresh and cooked to perfection. Again, you’d think this wouldn’t have to be said, but it does. One of the last places I went it was obvious they used frozen hash browns. The bacon was also real bacon. Not that flimsy paper bacon a lot of places use just say they have bacon. It was thick and crispy in all the right places. The taco salad seemed to be all homemade as well. That taco bowl had no signs of pre-processing. I’m willing to bet they took a fresh tortilla and fried it right there in the cafe. The fixings were also fresh and seasoned perfectly. All in all, if I come back here, I’ll be visiting Mona’s for breakfast. Maybe even another meal. Who knows. Either way I know it’ll be worth it.This little unassuming blue building holds some solid food that’s worth the trip.To explain the four star parts. The service was good. Our hostess was polite and nice but a bit distant like she was preoccupied. She was. But it still felt a little cold. She was still very attentive and checked on us regularly.Inside, you know you’re in a trailer building. I wasn’t expecting anything fancy by any means. It’s a little cafe in a small building. It is what it is. It was clean and well kept.I would eat here over any chain restaurant in the area any day of the weeks. You should too.
