This is exactly what comes to mind for a small town drive in burger joint. The food was cooked well. The owner was very friendly and personable. Good burgers.

We stopped after a morning of rock hounding. Just a couple cheeseburgers and crinkle cut fries in a styrofoam clamshell.
I still dream of this burger.
It had just the right amounts of grease, salt, and American cheese. Just the right burger at the right time. I had a great time chatting with the owner. Real nice guy just working his rear off for a better retirement.
I will again drive the two and a half hours it takes to get another burger from here.

I have driven past this place for years, but had never stopped to eat there. This time it was lunchtime, so I stopped. There is nothing at all impressive about this place. I had a cheeseburger which came with fries. The beef was a frozen, processed patty-I could still see marks on the patty from being pressed into shape before it was frozen. It comes with pickles only, no lettuce, tomato, or onion. Not even an option. At least a big handwritten sign announces this before you order. The fries were crinkle cut and slightly overcooked. A smash burger with some seasoning would have been better. So, I guess in my case it's 1 & done.

I gave the atmosphere a 3, due to we were outside and the flies were awful. Hosing the area down would most likely help this issue.

Great place for a fresh burger and frys! The owner is a great guy, good sense of humor as well. Outdoor dining, you can also call ahead and place an order for pickup
