I have driven past this place for years, but had never stopped to eat there. This time it was lunchtime, so I stopped. There is nothing at all impressive about this place. I had a cheeseburger which came with fries. The beef was a frozen, processed patty-I could still see marks on the patty from being pressed into shape before it was frozen. It comes with pickles only, no lettuce, tomato, or onion. Not even an option. At least a big handwritten sign announces this before you order....
Lockman’s Lunchbox serves great food. They really go above and beyond for their customers. It’s very apparent that Kevin and his family take a lot of pride in their business. The little town of Guernsey should be very proud to have Lockmam’s Lunchbox be a part of their community. Thank you for doing what you do. Your hard work does not go unnoticed.
I still dream of this burger.
It had just the right amounts of grease, salt, and American cheese. Just the right burger at the right time. I had a great time chatting with the owner. Real nice guy just working his rear off for a better retirement.
I will again drive the two and a half hours it takes to get another burger from here.
