We stopped in on my car rally from Canada, called The Redline Run. Its my 3rd time there, and definitely a place I will visit every time I'm driving through! Found this place by accident on our run during the Sturgis rally~ what a great little gem. Our bartender (Kelly) was extremely friendly and managed her clients effortlessly, remembering each drink she served to them. Only wish the place or town served food. Kelly did offer suggestions for places outside of town to get good food tho. Will definitely return on future trips through WY!

It was December 4, 2022; a chilly, windy Sunday evening. Hulett, WY was as quiet as a ghost town and I wanted a cold beer and Captain Rons was the only place in town open. I walked thru the door and immediately felt welcomed by the locals, ordered a beer and watched some football.. I think I was the only one NOT smoking but I didn’t mind. It ain’t pretentious, its rough around the edges and I can’t wait to stop in again.
The last of it's kind! It's the best 1 star bar in the USA.

I didn't realize this bar was famous until after I left! Kelly did a great job tending the bar and mixed my unusual drink perfectly. The regulars were awesome too! I'm used to grabbing a drink alone while traveling but I ended up enjoying a wonderful evening surrounded by some really great people. Definitely have to make my way back to visit, yall are awesome!
