I admit that I was scared when I entered. The place was full of Harleys and Choppers parked in front of the door. Upon entering, there was silence and everyone knew that I was a foreigner and that I was not welcome there. The silence remained for a while, and suddenly the waiter broke the tension and turned out to be the nicest person in the world! Very good genuine experience. Old West!

In 97 I was there loading cattle with about 15 of my buddies the town let us park in the middle of the street for 2 days we went in to eat that evening and had beverages after, they treated us like kings, the food was the greatest. The best scene of the stay was there was a wood stove in the middle with a sign on it that read if you stand by the stove you stoke the stove so the elderly lady there maybe the owner (I loved her like my own grandmother) yelled at me and said didn't you read the sign, after a few beverages I was acting cute and yelled back yes I can read the sign and leaned over and stroked the stove instead of stoking the stove and said are you happy now. She stood up and said this town ain't big enough for both of us, the whole place came apart laughing this is a great place.Parking: Like I said the town let us all park in the middle of the street for a day and a half everybody we met in that town was awsome thank you ponderosa Cafe and Hewlett you all are the greatest

The cafe was closed when we visited, but the bar was open. It is pretty stylish inside, very atmospheric. Almost no one was there when we came in. There are several options of beer. People are very friendly, and we spent some time talking. Good experience. The coffee was pretty good too.

Passing through on a weekend road trip to Devil's Tower. A party of four stopped here for dinner not sure what to expect. Three bear battered cod baskets and one chicken basket. JUST WONDERFUL!! Everything tasted fresh and homemade. Those chips/fries were fabulous and the tarter sauce was the best I ever had. If only we lived closer, I'd be here once a week at least!

Prices are unbelievably high - one would think that if you are sitting in the BEEF state surrounded by beef ranches that the cost of a hamburger would be less than $16. $30 for a small piece of prime rib, potato and salad. We were shocked at the prices that were far higher than the inflation ridden city establishments. The portions are good, the taste was very good, and the service was exceptional but the prices exceeded an acceptable level. This was the only open restaurant in the tiny town of Hulett, Wy. I would advise visitors staying more than a day to bring food unless they plan to spend their life savings for dinner. $65+ before tip - 2 BBQ, 2 Hamburgers, and water.

Great atmosphere, really friendly staff and the food was not just excellent but plentiful and reasonably priced. Sadly, we let the side down and couldn't eat it all, despite our best efforts. ?

This place was the best. I was on vacation and spent the night at the Hulett Motel. Ate dinner here at the Ponderosa and found their food and service remarkable. I wish I could have spent more time here. Even the containers you leave at the table with water made an impression. Keep up the good wirk.

Not many options in the area but I honestly had one of the most fun nights of my life at this place. We were on a quick road trip to devils tower and stayed not too far from here and came for dinner/drinks. There were a lot of locals here to celebrate someone's birthday and included us in on the fun as if we were longtime friends! We stayed til close, the bartender was fantastic, the atmosphere was fun and welcoming and I'll always have fond memories of this spot and the people we met here.
