Best Thai place in Jackson. Dined in/picked up from Annie’s several times now.
I usually order pad Thai w/tofu and it’s always delicious. I’ve also tried the dishes pictured (forgetting their names, but I adored the tofu w/rice dish), veg spring rolls, & crab rangoons. Their Thai tea is also good.
I’m from Vegas originally and have lived in Southern CA, Geneva, Switzerland, & PA as well. I also lived with an Asian family for some years and just happen to love cooking and eating Asian food the most - especially because it’s so versatile and I’m a vegetarian (other than when it comes to fish sauce bc I like fish sauce lol). This place is decently authentic, and while there aren’t a lot of Thai/Asian options in or near Jackson, this is the best spot you’ll find.
If you’ve frequented Vegas or are a local to the city, Annie’s is very similar to Archie’s Thai Bistro, which was one of my favorite spots there.
They bring out the food decently quickly and it’s always fresh. I love their spice levels as well, because they vary slightly (most likely depending on who’s cooking or bc they aren’t using exact measurements) - which I usually take a good sign. Someone is measuring with their heart back there haha.
I have a decent base spice tolerance, so a 2 on their defined spectrum is mild to me. 3 level is either quite spicy or medium, and I haven’t tried “Annie Spicy” yet, because I need to start eating spicy foods more regularly again first. 😂 If you’re the sort of person who finds black pepper spicy, get a 1 or 0.

Frank.. the worst manager that can be found to manage a restaurant.
Curry was 20 min late after all good was delivered to the table, not mentioned that it was super spicy. When we tried it and didn’t like it. Called manager to explain. But Frank acted up like he didn’t care about it. With the words “ it was on the menu “ “it was on the menu”.
Frank, be a manager, not a menu reader. And do customer service, not talking back with attitude.
Thanks

We’re locals that have been coming to Annie’s from day 1. We always look forward to a visit and I have always been very impressed with the friendliness of the servers and the quality of the ingredients, and of course the well presented cuisine. Definitely one of our favorites in Jackson!

The fried dumplings and dipping sauce were fantastic! The sweet and sour chicken was very good as well! Service was a little slow due to staffing, but they were hustling as the restaurant was full and they were also busting out to-go orders! Highly recommend!

My daughter and I got Chicken Skewers for an appetizer, Tom Kha soup with shrimp, and Pineapple Fried Rice with tofu. The skewers were juicy and tasted great with both sauces. My daughter thought the soup was rich and creamy, but there were only 3 pieces of shrimp in it. My pineapple fried rice was delicious and they were able to accommodate my request for no egg. The jasmine tea I got was also delicious!
The atmosphere was pleasant with a good amount of comfortable seating. They were playing pleasant music, I assume in Thai. Overall we really enjoyed our lunchtime experience.

The steamed dumplings are great. The sauce that comes with it is so good, I will usually pour the rest of it on my main entrée.
Great beef soup!!

This was disappointing. We ordered the pad Thai with chicken, it was dry and had a very odd flavor that was off putting like no other pad Thai I have had before. Almost like a burnt taste. The crab Rangoon were not as described or pictured on their menu.

I recently visited this restaurant and had a generally positive experience, though there were a few drawbacks worth noting. We were seated within a few minutes of arrival, which was great and helped set a welcoming tone. The staff was attentive and the atmosphere comfortable, making for a pleasant dining environment.
We ordered Pad Thai noodles, red curry fried rice with tofu, and Tom Yum soup. The Tom Yum soup stood out because it arrived with rice, making it almost a complete meal. Its flavors were balanced, delivering a satisfying combination of spice and tang. The red curry fried rice with tofu was delicious as well. The curry was rich and flavorful, and the tofu was cooked perfectly, absorbing the essence of the curry. The Pad Thai noodles also met expectations with their fresh ingredients and well-balanced seasoning.
While the taste and quality of all dishes were top-notch, the portion sizes felt a bit small, especially considering the price. Our total came to about $90 for three dishes, which struck me as quite expensive given what we were served. This affected my overall impression, as value for money is important to me.
the high pricing with relatively modest portions means I’m likely to rate it 3 out of 5 stars.
