We really enjoyed our two meals at El Abuelito while visiting Jackson. The prices were reasonable, and the food was very good. Our server, Irving, was very helpful in navigating our son's gluten-free needs on the menu. We will be back for sure the next time we are in Jackson.

Going 3's across the board here. I thought food was decent, but not great. Server was good but there was a slight language barrier. Not a knock against him, but made it a bit hard to get any extras like hot sauce. Sometimes that isn't translated well, so again, not holding this against him. Overall, the whole experience was just OK. Biggest negative was a couple girls, my wife and my buddy's wife, got sick after eating here.

Nice Mexican restaurant, the food and atmosphere were very nice. We just didn’t enjoy the desserts, maybe not our taste.

This place was da BOOOMBBB!!!! I love the Mexican music. The servers are awesome and gave my complaining girlfriend extra Verda and onion for her burrito which she claimed to be under seasoned…. Woooooweeee mama that burrito was spicy

So mid. Ground beef tasted like water. Started crying over how horrible the burrito is. Incredibly under-seasoned and a true embarrassment to Mexican cuisine. If my white boyfriend likes it, you know you’re making a mistake. Server was great. Brought me extra verde and onions to compensate for the egregiously priced plate of mush I was served. It was quite literally just ground beef. Nothing else. For $17!!!

Yummy food, comfortable atmosphere, great service. The chips needed salt and I am not a salt fiend! Otherwise it was perfect!

Service was good. Prices were reasonable. Much of the food was incredibly bland. No seasoning or salt in the beans. Ground beef had little flavor. But we loved the cabbage for the chips.

Their chips and tortillas tasted homemade and were delicious. My carne asada had a healthy portion of steak and the rice actually had flavor which can be hard to find. Tasty! Just know the place is super busy so you might not see the waitress again. They were all working very hard.

Food lacks seasoning. Plate came out looking a bit sloppy and messy. Not super attentive service. No frills but just make sure you have reasonable expectations.
