We are visiting Jackson Hole and several people recommended Local. We walked in and grabbed bar seats that opened up, didn’t know this was not a thing, some random woman then made a scene embarrassing us in front of everyone for just wanting to try a new place and assuming the bar was first come first served. I asked if she worked there and she said her boyfriend or husband was the manager, we were so thrown off by someone being so rude and inhospitable that we just left without even asking an actual worker what the policy was. Not loving this wannabe real housewives of Jackson Hole vibe.

The steaks 🥩 are good but the sides need some work. Longhorns Mac & Cheese is way better. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Will consider going back if they work on the mash potatoes and Mac & cheese. The flourless dessert was amazing!

This is a local favorite restaurant. It came highly recommended by so many locals that we asked. The food was great and they were able to customize our salad the way we asked. We really enjoyed all the food.

We went for the Holiday meal and honestly our waitress and the staff were wonderful. My husband had lobster bisque that he said was good but the French onion soup had zero taste and our steaks were not flavorful at all. It was the dipping sauces that gave the taste. Really disappointed for the amount of money this cost us. Again, waitress was excellent.

We arrived in Jackson Hole around 2 PM yesterday and had made reservations at Locals due to the limited dinner spots on Christmas Eve. Our experience was truly wonderful from the start. We were greeted with warm smiles and promptly seated.

Our waiter, Cody, was phenomenal. He had an impressive knowledge of the menu and described each dish with enthusiasm. Our food arrived quickly in rounds, and we appreciated his attentiveness, as other staff members also checked in on us throughout the meal.

I highly recommend trying the charcuterie board; we sampled the game meat sausage and the duck and blue cheese with spicy mustard. While the duck wasn't to our taste, everything else was fantastic. The Caesar salad was generous in size and delicious. My husband ordered the buffalo, which he thoroughly enjoyed, and I had the ribeye. The ribeye was tender and cooked perfectly to my specifications, though I found the edges a bit dried out from being pan-fried. That said, it was still a solid dish, just not extraordinary.

By the end of our meal, we were quite stuffed and decided to take home a slice of key lime cake, which my husband declared very tasty.

Overall, the experience was delightful. Every staff member was cheerful and professional, clearly happy to be working on Christmas Eve. The restaurant's atmosphere was polished, with everyone looking well-groomed. They did add a 20% gratuity to the bill, which felt appropriate given the exceptional service we received.

While the prices are on the higher side, the quality justifies it. We appreciated the transparency regarding the Christmas meal pricing. I sincerely hope all the hosts, cooks, waitresses, and waiters are blessed for their wonderful service last night.

Local was hands down one of the best meals we had. The French onion soup was incredible — easily the best I’ve ever had — and the cozy atmosphere inside made it even better. Definitely recommend stopping here if you’re in town.

My girlfriend's and I came in here for afternoon cocktail since everything was closed for this season. Our waiter was Joe. It had the best happy hour prices. We met the nicest people sitting beside us. We have the best time and laugh so hard.

The server was very good, but the atmosphere and food were not. It was very loud and hard to hear each other. When the reservation was made, they inquired about dietary restrictions. Two of us were gluten free. But when we ordered charcuterie, they did not have either gf bread or crackers. Why ask??The portions were ridiculously small for a $36 board with three small portions of meat and three of cheese. When we complained about the small sausage portion, they brought a even smaller piece and charged an additional $6. Our Tomahawk steak was not cooked to order and was half bone. You pay an additional $10 for each side. The best part of the meal was the crème brûlée. Don’t waste your time eating here. There are better options in town for less money. I wish I had read the reviews before we ate here.

This one should be a 3.5 for me but I believe it is probably a 4 normally. They were very busy and the waitress did a great job. We missed a bit on the food.

Very good restaurant, definitely on the fancier side. Sides are $10 a piece but me and my fiancé were able to share! They’re mashed potatoes the best mashed potatoes I’ve ever had including the truffle mac and cheese! We went twice will we were staying in Jackson Hole! First night we got steak(ribeye) amazing! The next night I got a filet migon and my fiancé got the elk. He said the elk was very well seasoned and very tasteful!

This was honestly one of the best meals of my life. My wife and I had the new york strip, angus ribeye, and wild mushrooms. Perfectly cooked medium rare, wonderful fat content, nice char. Wild mushrooms were something out of this world, able to stand up all on its own. I had two Wyoming whiskey pours, the Local's private stock and the double cask (Sherry Finish). If you enjoy whiskey, I highly recommend these. For dessert we had the brownie and scoop of vanilla ice cream. It had a caramel incorporated in it and this dessert was just a symphony of flavors working together, none out shining the other. Just a masterpiece. Our waitress gave us amazing recommendations. We had our 3 year old with us and they were so great with accommodations. Coloring menu and crayons included. Our child had the butter parm pasta which she really enjoyed (as did I!). Highly recommend!
