Scam Alert – Dishonest Staff!
We were told at the entrance that the cover charge could be used toward drinks or food — that’s the only reason we paid and went in. But once inside, the bartender and food counter both said everything had to be paid for separately.
I went back to the guy at the entrance, and he blatantly lied again, insisting it could be used — then brushed me off. No one inside was using their cover charges for anything. I even double-checked with staff and was told again that nothing was covered.
It’s not about the money — it’s about the blatant dishonesty just to get people through the door. Absolutely unacceptable.
Avoid this place. Total liars.
My wife took me here for my 38th birthday. The hostess or manager (man wearing pink shirt) was great. He seated us and let our server “Vincent” know it was my birthday but it was sad as he was walking away..already knew this guy was running around. i guess Vince was busy with the table next to us …but he never told us the specials…he saw I was looking at the drink menu and went to that. When he returned he asked if we were interested in any appetizers..we said no so he asked if we were ready….he seemed nice enough…but I was disappointed…the manager was awesome
The fries and burger were great and my wife enjoyed her salad…we did a 50 mile bike ride today and I guess we didn’t spend enough to get any love…beers were nice and cold….
The million dollar cowboy bar has a very unique and cool atmosphere. So much so that this is where our wedding party decided to have the after wedding wedding party.
We arrived with approximately 45 people and It was crazy packed in there and hard to get in. That being said, we did get in and enjoyed the evening.
They had a great band but a very small dance area which was surprising for the size of the bar. We had a few late arrivals to the party and they refused to let them in because it was getting late.
The bars shut down there at 2:00 a.m. However, this bar did last call at 12:30 and kicked everybody out by 1:00. Which was a total bummer.
They were very rude to our late arrivers who explained that they were with the wedding party that was inside. This took place at about midnight so it was before last call but they still refuse to let them in.
The staff here is hardened and callous. Not friendly and welcoming at all. From the moment we entered to the moment we left, we had poor service and mediocre drinks .
I'm sure part of it's due to the sheer number of people they have to deal with. However, they are forgetting that your patrons deserve to be treated well. We dumped a ton of money there in the short period of time that we were there. Yet there was zero appreciation for our business.
If you have a small party of people, I would recommend going early and getting a good seat and perhaps the service will be better.
But I definitely do not recommend taking a large party here for any kind of celebratory events.
They don't appreciate their patrons and they take for granted their success. Like I said, it was packed so they're not hurting for business but the next time I go back to Jackson Hole, this business will not see one red cent from this visitor ever again! There are tons of bars with live music and great atmospheres throughout Jackson Hole, So my recommendation is to seek out other bars while there because this one was very overrated. It's really too bad because they have the potential to be the whole package but because of their poor customer service, lack of caring and watered down crappy drinks that you pay a premium price for by the way, I would definitely go anywhere but there.
This has to be one, if not, the biggest tourist traps in Jackson. It'a a good gimic, but I expected something a bit more rustic. To me this was just an average bar. Bartenders weren't very welcoming, drinks were medeocre at best. I could see if the place was super busy but it was maybe a 1/4 full in the bar area. You have to get up and walk to the counter to order your bar food which the food was okay. The price for the drinks and food are way overpriced. We finished our drinks and walked out around the corner to find another bar we found the bartender to be much more enthusiactic to serve us and a better choice overall. Go to the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar to say you've been there then head over to the other bar around the corner with the silver dollars embedded in the bar top.
They did not accept my valid ID very disappointed
Definitely a must visit if you're in Jackson. The atmosphere on a Saturday night is great, there's a lot of people dancing and live music all night. The drinks were good and reasonably priced and I loved seeing people of all ages. We paid a cover of $10 per person which is understable given the time/day that we went.
Sat in the saddles. Full but not squished. Bartender was great
Drove 80 miles to their music festival. First thing, I was greeted by the most rude bar tender I ever met. Next we waited almost 2 hours for the first band to start. No schedule anywhere for the music times. Opening act was absolutely horrible. Disgusted and angry we left and will never go to any event sponsored by this bar.
This place is a classic!! My parents have been going here since they were old enough to drink lol the best part are the saddle seats at the bar!!

If you're looking for a place to eat, this isn't it. It's a bar...and a large one at that. Really cool environment and several bars to order drinks from. You can watch a game, shoot pool, or watch live music if you're there at the right time. But if you're wanting to eat, it's really average bar food at best. Glad we went and checked this place off the bucket list.

Come here after dinner. Wait to long to show and it will cost you more. This place is is iconic. Does not matter to me that it is "touristy", you will have so much fun.
